We wear clothes to be comfortable, to cover up our shame, and more importantly for our protection. Technical clothing, focuses on incorporating functionality using textiles and construction techniques to protect the user from their environment.

Thanks for creating a guide, I've been meaning to get into this. Tuxbell needs to better, have you thought about writing other parts of tuxbell?

I still consider the section to be under construction because I feel it's lacking some basics to really understanding the depth of this style. For example I want to add a section that just goes through all various functions these clothes can home and what they mean.

I do plan on expanding to other parts of tuxbell, maybe small things you'll see from me here and there?

Looking for some military inspiration, looking at brands like Alpha Industries but found Engineered Garments which in my opinion makes more interesting pieces, but not in a variety of colors and not having an official store make it really hard to find a place that has it all.

Any other brands that have the military style with technical function?

Damn son, replace with a baseball cap and that's what I got on now..

Not a bad place to be

>tfw don't live in a skyscraper

a fucking basic as fuck jacket and black jeans on congratulations

If it was a better view, I could agree with you..

Arcteryx LEAF?

of all the people to ask you guys are probably the most capable of helping me. I need an anorak like pic related but the only two places I've found it online don't have my size (large or medium). Does anyone know what type of anorak this is with a drawstring on the waist? Where I can find one? I like the look of an anorak but they are a little too puffy for my taste and I need a waist drawstring

Much too minimalistic for what I'm going for.

lol this is shit. there is no good female techwear inspo

This is true, most of techwear for women is from sporty and outdoor companies. Unfortunately I don't think there's a urban techwear brand that focuses on both or just women.

Just made an update to the Wiki again, please any critic would be beneficial to Veeky Forums

Incoming trigger warning to all those that hate the "techninja look"

...

...

do y'all actually wear this stuff or just look at it online?
like seriously, where do I buy techwear that isn't 1k+

I have this one. About the only 'tech' female inspo I've ever found.

w2c jacket like this for under 200€

guerrilla group trench is quite cheap on grailed. around 200-250

my dick

b-bae...

i got this one

That's someones sister in the techwear Discord, what a lucky guy
That's a girl?

Nice. Going in the inspo folder for sure. Thanks!

A lot of women's techwear is athletic which is I which could change, something more tech-focused.

dressed to expense but still can see the pain in that busted ass face

>Supreme beanie
>Acronym Jacket
>Rick Shoes

Techwear appropriated into an awful streetwear fit.

yea i hate how most of the top techwear insta accounts are just shitting streetwear now like 1kdeaths

looks so tryhard, not technical or performance at all

Not sure why people call this "techwear". It looks more fashion than function.

id on jacket please

Anyone got any recs on dressier boots?

You say that but do you even know what some of these people are wearing?

Choke me me, senpai

I actually want this jacket and would totally wear it around.

whats that red thing on the jacket?

So I wanna try and make some garments myself and I found a bunch of places online that sell fabrics like Gabardine, labeled as sailing cloth. Now I'm wondering if there's different kinds of the material that aren't supposed to be worn by people? As in, fabrics that use toxic coatings or similar things that might be unhealthy to wear regularly.

Garbadines and sail cloth tend to be pretty different mate, unless it's old timey boats we're talking about

Ok, do you know where I could read up on this kind of stuff? Still pretty new to all these different types of technical fabrics.

It's a little tag that Alpha Industries puts on some of their jackets. It's removable

Honestly, your best bet a just to muddle through it, find something on these shops that looks like what you want then research the most general sounding parts.

But garbadine is a type of weave, denim uses it.

And sail cloths are things like dyneema, so synthetics that are crazy strong and won't tear, parachute material and sail cloth are pretty much the same stuff because of this ( just different weights)

Honestly this is one of those parts of clothing that interests me most, especially the likes of natural fibres like wools.

Anyway, there's a lot of interesting stuff out there you'll pick it up along the way

Got some Apparats on the way. Itll be my first Veilance piece, pretty excited

Why would the model wear those shoes?

I have like 4 pairs of these and wear them basically every day. You made the right choice.

Awesome, it's by far the most I've spent on any clothing (even while marked down to $250) but I've handled Arc'teryx mainline stuff and it seemed like a good buy. Do they get dirty easily? Any care tips?

And seriously, 4?

needed a bigger bag for travel so I copped pic related on sale

nice where'd you get them for that price?

Thanks. Ordered them from Understudy while they were having a 20% off Veilance sale (promo code VEILANCE20, might still be usable) and in USD it ended up being just ~$250. Never ordered from Canada before though so I dunno if I could still get fucked by some import duty/taxes fees.

What's the pack composed of?

Cordura nylon with water repellent polycarbonate coating

dont be a teenage poorfag :^)

do you people wear boots i need some boots for when it snows

One thousand dollars for a article of clothing? Or one thousand for the entries fit? Because you can get into tech wear without spend one thousand for a piece of clothing.

In what type of weather are you wearing a beanie and windbreaker with sandals?

I wanna cop Qasa boots but I have no clue of what to wear them with.

Fuck man, all these techwear pants are soooo steep in price.

You don't. I've NEVER seen a good techwear fit that wasn't at least $2k all up.

Too bad most of these are made for pussies who only carry rape whistles and wet themselves over cell phone pockets and touch screen gloves

>tumblr

Slow down there cyber-cowboy

you're a fat old faggot and the average early to mid 20s techwear parkour enthusiast would fustigate your gay ass before you could even pull your shitty /k/ - tier meme gun

...

How are you going to explain how your friend died picking a fight with a dude holding an AR to his mother whom he lived with.

you live with your mom? lmao learn to speak english you ESL chink

Reading comprehension evades you. Typical liberal millenial education though.

It's you who can't even express yourself with a simple sentence, dumb shit chink. You realize that conservative, real Americans don't want muddled shit skin faggots like you right? Must suck hard being you heh

Please be bait.

What, you don't know Sieg? Welcome to Veeky Forums!

hang dry them cus the nyco is kinda fragile (but not as bad as it used to be). If they do start to wear out you can always send them back for a new pair - arcs warranty coverage is very generous.

List your collections y'all.

>Nike ACG Woven Trousers
>ACRNM J1A-GT
>4dimension R9-1 Anorak
>4dimension Neck Gaiter
>Dsptch Shoulder Bag

Collections still small and ever since I got my ACRNM I never wear my R9-1 anymore. I even tried, that way I would have somewhat of a rotation but it's seriously incomparable to the J1A.. literally trumps it in every category. Only thing I like on my R9-1 more is a large pocket located on the back of the jacket. Considering putting it up on grailed or something but not sure how in demand it would be/if anyone would be interested at all.

Also, help me choose some techwear shoes. Boots or sneakers, as long as they can hold up in the elements.

give us a pic of the 4dimension neck gaiter
never seen it worn before

I was under the impression that the warranty only covered replacements if something was defective. What kind of wear do you think they consider?

I have a feeling you think I mean their most recent iteration with the storm hood, but I think that one looked whack as shit. I like this one a lot though.

If you want an actual pic of me wearing it you're shit out of luck for the time being. If you really want one I'll take one when I wake up tomorrow. For now, take these.

Does anyone here wear the running tights & shorts look? I've been thinking about it, just not totally sure yet. Especially since it's more or less now known for the Pyrex hypebeasts that adopted the look. Any good inspo around for it?

I see this dude who takes the same train as me do it, he's very low key techwear. He pulls it off desu, but I think it's because it's a casual mix.

I definitely get a more athletic runners feel from the look but then again this guy I see on my platform all the time pulls it off. So I suppose anyone could.

I have triple black Air Max 95s, and I feel like they'd work pretty well with it. Might at least try it and see how it goes. Need to cop a better jacket though.

yes its comfy with short shorts, not basketball shorts

Yeah, I'd figured that running shorts or something similar would be the best bet.

i'd rather go with flyknit racers, free runs or prestos

the 95 are too bulky, work better with a cargo-ish fit
