Sounds like an expensive, and shitty cycle that can potentially destroy one's skin if not done properly (or even if it is done properly possibly).

Removing your makeup thoroughly and not having it on for too long is important for not damaging your skin, also basic skin care: washing daily, cleansing, moisturizing etc is not expensive, there are plenty of diy masks that can be made. Personally, makeup is just fun, its just like style, its fun because you can change it up everyday

wearing makeup isn't bad for your skin but it can be without proper skincare. if you leave it on or sleep in it or don't use primers it can clog pores. also some products just don't work with some people's skin and can cause breakouts but it I usually never causes big-scale acne

Maybe when you're 14 and first starting out, or a trashy girl who cakes on stolen makeup from the Target cosmetics section. The majority of girls that I know who wear makeup have better skincare routines than girls who don't wear it. They're usually more conscious and proactive about their appearance and ageing and are also already removing it in the bathroom every night anyway, so adding a cleanser and moisturiser is a simple additional step.

Wanna get Veeky Forums's opinion on this. Guys wear makeup? I've debated buying a concealor before because of giant dark circles under my eyes, also acne and shit.

I'm gonna explain why this girl looks kinda gross without makeup. She's still cute but we all know.

1. She's covering up the problem rather then fixing it. Her solution to her poor skin isn't a better diet and some simple face wash and acne cream. It's more makeup. Like others already said its a vicious cycle.

2. She has very little eyelash. That's because she's constantly pulling them out when she does them every morning. They need to grow back if they can grow back at all. You pull and apply the eyelash shit like that all the time just ruins your eyelashes.

3. Her eyebrows have been over plucked. Common problem with girls. She compensates for lack of eyebrows with more makeup.

4. If she did her hair or at least braided them she would look a hell of a lot better.

5. Her lips just need a simple Chapstick to make them look supple.

Girls don't need all that much make up. Their parents let them start young and years of abuse has lead to what they are now.

I understand needing a cover up for that rogue break out but this caking on the makeup is just gross.

If you're an adult and still have acne get rid of it, try this in order: topical cream, skin antibiotics and in last resort Isotretinoin.
If you're a kid the only option you have is the topical cream, if it doesn't work for you then only use basic foundation just to cover up the acne and leave everything else natural.
