Even if two people were literally exact clones of each other they wouldn't be the same because their environments would not be the same, and thus they'd have different memories, thoughts, and ideas.

What I mean is you, as in the exact version of you has existed before, and will exist again. Thinking at this exact same point in time (with relation to the universe) the exact same thing you did in a previous iteration. There is literally nothing you can do that hasn't been done before and won't be done before in the exact same way. If our universe expands to a large enough state there will be doppelgänger somewhere in the exact same universe, seeing as the way matter can form itself is not infinite - and we are but products of our environment.

Except the Universe isn't infinitely large, just very, very, big. The Universe does, however, have the potential for infinite variation. There's no reason the assume I have a doppelganger who is physically the exact same as me who has and will think and do the exact same things as me, when my life has so many variables.

Universe doesn't have an infinite variation because of limits like bekenstein bound that provides direct relations between an available space and possible inner complexity that can exist in it.
