"Skinny people look better in fashionable clothes". Then someone posts the infamous fa meetup full of ugly, unfit fucks with terrible posture wearing all black.

Nike Pegasus 83 or New Balance 620's

You should be wearing shoes with flat no bouncy soles when lifting, especially for heavy free weights.

Pic related, rock chucks.

Nah fampui

What is the reasoning behind this

because your stabilizers are already straining under the weight, adding any extra instability (from a bouncy sole) is bound to fuck your shit up eventually.

nobody who deadlifts more than 3 plates has ever used a bouncy sole to lift heavy in. you WILL fuck your joints up.

This

Eh, I'll be fine

you're only cheating yourself

you won't be able to generate as much force in a cushioned shoe, so you'll lose much of your gains. when you eventually snap your shit up (if you ever make it out of beginner stage,) don't say you weren't warned. just fucking wear some chucks jesus fucking christ, don't be a retard. or even some $6 feiyue off ebay, please don't fuck your shit up over this retarded shit. this is real life bro, you could cause permanent joint damage. everyone says it's safe if you're not a retard, well if you lift in a cushioned shoe YOU'RE BEING A RETARD AND IT'S NOT SAFE.

Nice bro science lol

oh my fucking god this isn't bro science, i'm a fucking doctorate student. i'm just clearing my conscience. DO NOT LIFT IN RUNNING SHOES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES YOU FUCKING RETARD

highs or lows? someone once told me lows, but would you want the little ankle support the highs offer?
i don't own any chucks, would stans or vans be alright

I've lifted in vans slip ons, they're okay. I also lift in sambas, in fact i lift more in sambas than anything. Sambas are pretty elite for lifting for 99% of people.

You don't need the ankle support, it's actually a little detrimental to your range of motion. So lows are cool, but high tops won't be that big a deal. And if you ever start lifting heavy enough that you do need more support, you'll want actual lifting shoes. But as a beginner, and up to very very advanced levels, you will be okay in chucks. Or vans. Just something with a hard sole, no real cushioning. Even barefoot is better than lifting in something like adidas boost or nike air or new balance or some other runner.

im just messing with you. I lift in New Balance (not like OP's) that don't have a lot of cushion. They're neutral.

w2c NASA chucks?

Also is Trump going to usher in Lunarcore?

yep this guy knows whats up

CPs or Play meme shoes work great

>Also is Trump going to usher in Lunarcore?
Who gives a fuck about the moon, Mars is where it's at

First step to Martiancore is Lunarcore ;^)

Not necessarily!

I wear vans because lifting in cushioned shoes is retarded. I don't have anything else that has flat thin soles.
