Karl der Grosse / Charles the Great / Charlemagne and the Saxons

Heinrich Himmler, influenced by the "Neu-Volkisch" movement of post-WW1 Germany, saw Charles as "the Slayer of Saxons" and idolized the Saxons who fought against him and who tried to save their race and their religion against Judaism/Christianity.

Hitler on the other hand was opposed to that demonization and said that Charles was on the Greatest humans ever beacuse he managed to unite the Germans; and he mentioned to Alfred Rosenberg that it wouldn't be wise to let people demonize him by calling him the "Slayer of Saxons?"

Who was right?
Was he evil for murdering so many Saxons in the name of Judaism/Christianity and to enforce an alien religion upon the white man?
Or was he a great man by doing a step to unite the Germanic people?

Rather simple, really. I'd say both. And it's not white, it's Aryan. Whiteness is irrelevant.

Saxons are not even human, so it's not evil, but true justice to destroy them.

He shed the blood of Saxon men for a Jewish religion.

It doesn't matter what you think about Himmler, in the context of Germanism, he was right on this one.

I disagree, he managed to unite the teutonic peoples under one flag. I side with Hitler, as usual. Himmler was just some crackpot romanticist. After Hitler praised the Polish people, I'm sure Himmler was just looking for ways to undermine him, and criticizing one of the three reichs was likely seen as effective.

I wouldn't have expected someone to post the truth so early in the thread

>Who was right?
Hitler*

*This pretty much applies to any situation.

Is this implicitly acknowledging that the Franks were indeed proto-Frenchmen and that the
>Holy

>Empire
Was one of Germany's many failed attempts to copy France?

>I disagree, he managed to unite the teutonic peoples under one flag.
One flag held up high by Roman institutions. Remember that the Franks were the most Romanized and Romaboo of the barbarians, with Charlemagne even going as far as nearly reuniting the West Roman Empire.

GARLEMANE AKA GARLS THE BUTCHER IS NOT MY KING :-DDD HE GILLED DE INNOZEND SAGSONS AND IS BROBABLY JEWISH AS WELL :-DDDDD

Howdy, Germanic servants! Check it out, I'm made of gold!

Aryans shall prevail, my brown Armenian friend.

The HRE was founded by his great great grandson, so no. That's like saying the bottom half of France isn't French because Huguenots.

Their stache game is on point tho you gotta admit

>muh hwite identity being imposed upon 8th century European kingdoms
>muh "desert" religion
Reminder that Charlemagne slaughtered the subhuman Saxons for continuously raiding the eastern borders of his Empire

>dravidiniggers indians are the same as aryan indians
lol

This.

Himmler was a LARPing nerd who was obsessed with everything esoteric. Today, Himmler would have been one of these people who talk about Nazi UFOs and Aldebaran.

He was also the one who pushed that idiotic idea that Slavic people are actually "subhuman", while other high-ranking National Socialists were always opposed to that idea.

...

Religion was a great tool to get europeans to attack outsiders instead of each other, the world wars were surely a result of its collapse. Even a bad idea would be preferable if it created a european ingroup and a foreigner outgroup

>The HRE was founded by his great great grandson
The HRE was founded by Otto the Great, King of the Saxons.
