Depends. Sneakers like adidas boost or new nikes look better when they are clean. GATs, or brown leather derbys or oxfords can look pretty nice of they are worn. Chucks need to be worn.

can confirm, i also work in a kitchen.
its my favorite job yet. theres just such a huge 'idgaf' kind of attitude. no office politics, no dress code (wear an apron and a hat thats it) its bomb. its awesome. i like it almost as much as my actual major in uni.

The scuffed look only really works on shoes with a sleek silhouette like converse and vans. They're simple, so the dirt adds dimension and interest.
