Why does Veeky Forums hate hyped fashion?

...

>why do contrarians like things that are popular?

Yeezys are just fucking ugly

>everything they like or dislike is simply being contradiction

Aside from Yeezy, does streetwear makes the same category?

I mean the V2s are ugly as hell...

it doesn't look good, not quality, and it tends to attract niggers and spics

i don't know why you want that kind of undesireable attention from shit race animals but if you need to feed off of it go for it

...

The basic nature of hyped fashion allows for lazy and low quality trash to become popular, just look at VLONE and A.S.S.C. Additionally, a lot of people who buy hyped clothing only do sp because it's hyped and they often don't have the body or wardrobe to pull it off (ex. Pic related). Just buying what's hyped has become a substitute for actually having style, which may sound cringy but it's true.

Here's a (You)

I don't like soles that make me think about buying a fleshlight.

/thread

like look at this fat filipino fuck

you want to hangout with this fuckface all day?

You're on a board with people who are edgy and will hate anything if it was popular. It's like that kid who sees everyone wearing nikes and immediately hates all Nike products and buy some fucking files just to act like he has superior taste.

It's always been like this, the brands and the companies are all the same at the end of the day and want their money for the product and get it. It's the people who seem to think that these items identify how good they are

Not to sound pretentious but buyers and wearers of hyped fashion usually lack the necessary creativity to put together a good fit

There's absolutely nothing wrong with fitting the stereotypical mold of a nerd (yes stereotypes still do exist) but it's so inauthentic looking and cringey to see that token dorky kid who is always decked out in Kanye-esque clothing. It seems forced

Looking effortlessly fashionable is all about wearing clothes that compliment your personality and your lifestyle as much as they do your body

Because it's easy and safe to follow hyped trends without any hesitation and think that your fits are superior than other less popular stuff.
Take casus of Stans or Reebok Club C85 for instance, they were/are huge memes on this board and a safe choice for white sneaks.
BUT outside the /fa little to nobody is going to criticize you for them.

He's Filipino? I thought he was Indian.

>Why does Veeky Forums hate hyped fashion?
its the noobtube, ssf4 flowchart ryu of fashion.

It's mostly trash, cookie cutter clothing.
this

people dont know how to dress themselves.

yo just sold my zebras for 520$, i feel like im gonna regret it

Hypebeast clothing is for Asians and manlets. Seriously I've never seen a white guy taller than 5'8 wearing Yeezys. Hypbeast clothing also ages like milk and you'll look ridiculous wearing this years trends even one year from now. Remember the distressed jeans and grunge rock tees from last summer? Do you see anyone still dressing that way this summer?

Selling yeezys is only worth it if you have multiple pairs. If you like yeezys and sell your only pair, you're obviously gonna regret it sooner or later.

Veeky Forums is very contrarian, nothing wrong with that. I don't like doing what everyone else is doing. There are people I work with wear Supreme and Bape, talk about how cool the new Transformers movie is, have fidget spinners, etc.

They follow trends and instantly love whats popular just to fit in, but they don't actually have in depth knowledge of any of it.

It's boring, so I deliberately go against it.

love it

but to be srs. everything is hyped. you just need to have some fucking taste

This, tbqh. I despise people who like something just because it's in the mainstream. It's so shallow and I refuse to be one of them.

>Do you see anyone still dressing that way this summer?
yes

>I have no personality so I'll fake one but opposing anything popular or mainstream
Veeky Forums in a nutshell

I dont like it. I just feel like the price is gonna hiked up way pass 600$ after the initial hype

People who are contrarians for the sake of contrarianism are just as shallow. You're no better than the people you despise.

They're probably the most desired color aside from the Belugas.

BAHAHAH perfect pic! *Slow clap ensues"

The Yeezy's in and of itself are really interesting and forward thinking(barring some lame ones like those fucking ugly ass yellow ones), I actually really like the design of them. The problem lies with the hypebeasts/sneakerheads who only know how to dress how people online tell them how to dress.

...

You can't really talk about fat fucks fat fuck

Igor knows what's good

at least this guy is handsome and fat

Yeah. But belugas price are way higher.

What does Veeky Forums think of the 750s, though?

Background is definitely Manila

Because everyone is wearing them. Who wants to go down a street and see everyone sporting the exact same outfits? Boring af.

You state the answer in the question OP: because it is HYPED. Clothing items look good if they fit with the entire outfit. Hyped items are a lazy get around of that principal - you could wear an all yellow suit but put on some Yeezy's or some other hyped shit and no one cares. They only care that you're wearing the hyped clothing. It's basically the equivalent of a penis extender - shallow people all flock to you because you have a "large" dick but everyone who knows better thinks you're an attention loving whore who is compensating for lack of fashion sense.

why don't people tie their yeezys

Cuz kanye

They wear those here, still see tons of thrasher hoodies and pre-bleached jeans, but that's just because it takes forever for trends to get here
>Tfw Alaska

i like them, way better than 350s

Everyone I've ever seen wearing those were either worst kind of jocks and bydlo, or ethnic minorities sporting fake ones
They're like the opposite of fashion

what a good description

This

IMO wearing hype fashion does just shows that you have no personality or own taste what so fucking ever

This, I never understood the appeal if you want to buy over 200$ sneakers you're better of with Y-3's
