No. Dude was a megalomaniac and not a good strategist.

>trying to fight the Nazis and the Whites and the Soviets
>Implying those things aren't all worth fighting against.

Even if they are it's a really fucking stupid idea.

>the Nazis
what

>stupid
>shitty
The problem with all the world, and especially Russia at that time, was not enough stupid people when the time came.

Well, Makhno wasn't the only one. 1921 in Ukraine was a very troubled time for Russians. Even though they did manage to seize the territory, the unrest was widespread and a whole bunch of Green (named after a famous rebel leader who called himself Zeleny, literally "Green") insurgent squads were everywhere. Bolshevik ideas weren't popular there at all, but Socialism in general was. Ukrainian People's Republic Directorate (also Socialists) wanted to use that unrest as a foothold for the offensive which was to connect with various insurgent groups and spread further like wildfire. That didn't work for various reasons, 1921's Winter Campaign was ultimately a failure and it was ogre.

I think that if it were to succeed, that could have probably been the only realistic chance of any Makhnovite sentiment to survive. He fought everyone, including Directorate, but they were the only ones willing to cooperate and Makhno wasn't stupid. Otherwise no, Bolsheviks would've crushed him either way, they were too powerful.

Nazis, Germans... what's the difference. :^)

That's Oscar Wilde.

But he wasn't trying to fight the Soviets. He attempted to make peace with them repeatedly.

He also never fought the nazis.

>Tfw you realize mahkmo is a school schooter
I mean look at this guy, edgy as fuck

The outfit was pretty normal for the time.

Everyone dressed like that back then.

The who and the what?

That was edgy times for sure.

Oh, always wondered what the green and black armies actually were.

No wonder so many died

Supposedly, that guy invented the first technical.

One is an ethnicity and the other is a derogatory word of a political party in Germany during the early half of the 20th century.

With polish control/backing yes

They're not related at all. The Technical was invented by the SNM northern campaign (aka Somaliland). They're made for completely diff purposes
