I made a website related to Counter Strike Global Offensive trading.

It cost 2500 euros to develop and I paid 1600 euros for 1 month of advertising. I'm predicting that by the end of that 1 month I'll have made 2000 euros

Did I dun fuck up?

Other urls found in this thread:

skins2keys.com
csgo.cash/

link?

skins2keys.com

Lmao when you get fucked by the us government for underage gambling remember this moment

It has nothing to do with gambling

Dope website though

Csgo trading is classified as gambling since it is not a game of skill. Your basically saying its legal when it's obviously not.

I guess as long as you incur no further costs you only done not fucked up if you can run the website without issue for another month and a half.

What the fuck are you on about?

It's done using Valves own trading system/API. If it were illegal do you think a billion dollar company would allow users to trade between themselves?

lol

What's the difference between your site and csgolounge?

sounds like you're onto something

how did you find someone to develop it? and why not use cheap indians? also seems like a lot for 1 month of advertising, but i guess it looks to have worked.

In terms of trading, lounge simply serves as a platform for users to post advertisements for their skins. They are the craigslist of csgo trading basically. They also offer gambling on pro games.

Our site on the other hand is an automated skin > key & key > skin exchange site (keys are the currency of csgo trading). It allows users to instantly exchange their skins for keys or buy skins that we have in storage using keys that they already have.

So as you can see there is no gambling involved here. We are simply exchanging 1 type of virtual commodity for another.
It was very difficult to develop because you not only need a proficient coder but someone who also knows a lot about the Steam API and how it works. I had different components of the site (bot system, inventory loading etc) coded by different people and then 1 guy came in and put it all together. The design/html coding was done by an Indian though

I couldn't go through freelancer or something because the context is too hard to explain to someone who isn't versed in it.

Also the ads give 100-150 000 impressions per day combined.

You're a fuckin' dumb baby boomer that pays taxes while bitching about how corrupt the government is.

Just shut the fuck up you ignorant retard.

advertise on /v/ for 10 bucks a banner ad

Do you think Veeky Forums ads would benefit my site at all? Or would a bunch of childish people spam shit?

Why did it cost you 2500 euros to make this?

No idea what your site is
/v/ is for vidya, makes sense to advertise vidya related things on /v/. Maybe Veeky Forums too, since there is a CS general.

There is a lot of back end functions that had to be made from scratch. It appears simple to the user but there is a lot of stuff behind it

As an pro SEO i would advise blogs and other social platforms to get links to your site and than do SEM. Also your page does not include any meta description and you only have 1 landing ( your home page..) Spend those money on good SEO and not on SEM.

Where do I hire someone that isnt insanely expensive? Are the indians on freelance any good?

lmao classic vague shit a developer can tell a clueless customer

Nah you done good. Keep your eye out for the next big thing.

I got multiple quotes from multiple devs for everything I paid for of course

Nah man. Do v and vg, not biz.
I hate to suggest it but buying ad time on /r/globaloffensive would also be a good idea.

I had decent results from /r/globaloffensivetrade as well

cool site , who did you pay to make it ?>

How do you prevent your bots from being gradually cleaned out by price swings or worse a random price error?

People will always be faster than automated price aggregators to arbitrage between swings.

What are you going to do with items that don't cost a full numbr of keys?
Trading systems like yours work in tf2, because keys divide into scraps, so you can buy cheap items with scrap.
I think this is very limiting, and can cause loss both for you and your customers.

What kind of advertising are you doing, and how effective has it been?

Why give them the full cost in keys? Could market it towards people who just want to trade quickly with no BS. They'll prob be willing to take a 1 key loss over 1 hour of shit with some retarded ass russian

>mobile support intensifies

Lmao you paid 2500 euros and it doesn't even work on mobile

We both had the same thought XD

Get out of my head you god dam Indian telemetry data hoarding price of shit!

>Zozzle

Airplane mode?

They cucked you good. I bet the steam bot you use is open source. Did some dude charge you 2k to make a bot that sells stuff to the market? Or maybe some hipster web dev charged you 2k to make a website with the latest meme framework? Are you using nodejs? Great job user.

I'm not looking at your website. How do you expect to compete with g2a, loot market or the 800 other sites

Can also try /r/csgobetting

Good luck.

Lmao @ this wordpress faggot calling node a meme

>not having your risk covered before you acquire said risk

Hey user, nice website. I have to say though, it could be a lot better. You're leaving a lot of money on the ground and in other's pockets by not having optimal branding and ranking.

Every site needs a catchy and relevant TLD and blog functionality to rank well in the google indexes. Be memorable. Stand out. Why the fuck would I leave my dollars at a sleazy sounding place like 'skins2keys'? This isn't 2004 anymore.

I currently own csgo.cash/ but I'm not using it to full potential. I have a lot of business ventures to look after and my time is limited. Contact me at "[email protected]" If you'd like to talk shop. Your business has a lot of potential to be the very best.

I have a similar, but slightly different idea for DOTA.

If the bots are working perfectly, 2500 EUR was a good price I think.

I don't know about the advertisement, but it should take off after 1-2 months because of word of mouth so I guess you are good to go.

Just be careful not to fuck anyone over because of random bugs in your bots, trust is your biggest commodity I think.

This guy. Learn the basic algorithm search engines use (page rank) and use that knowledge to your advantage.

>I'm a loner that does nothing but trades csgo skins all day and will probably overdose on code red Mountain Dew and flaming hot Cheetos directly after jerking off to incest porn because I'm too lazy to go upstairs and see my own mother

the post

you really need to get your site mobile compatible, any web designer knows just how insanely important that is (so much web traffic is from mobile), you got fucked m8
