What if the Spartacist Uprising/German Revolution was a success?

What if the Spartacist Uprising/German Revolution was a success?

Could they have linked up with the Bolsheviks and ignited the world revolution?

>Spartacists take control of Berlin
>Months later, french Renault tanks rush down the city

>Germany turns communist
>Poland eventually gives and is divided by Germany and Russia
>Italy is still going strong
>Britain, France and the western powers see communism spreading
>They ally with Italy
>Spain, Austria, the Netherlands and other countries join the alliance
>Righteous crusade against Bolshevism
>Roman empire restored

Why couldn't this have happened!

The rise of Hitler would have been entirely averted, even the British bourgeoisie might have realised the game was up

>massive alliance forms to fight against Bolsheviks and German Revolutionaries
>implying that wasn't essentially what happened in the Russian Civil War
>implying that this wouldn't turn out even worse for the intervening powers in this alternate timeline
>mfw

didn't the Bolsheviks and Sparticists hate each other?

AFAIK Lenin didn't like anyone that didn't support his ideas so he tossed everyone else aside including Rosa Luxembourg

IIRC, Luxemburg said that Bolshevism had her 'critical support'.

The ruling socialist democrats (Weimar Government) gave the german army a free hand to crush the revolution.

Had the revolution succeeded, then the Bolsheviks in Russia would have been sprung from the isolation that led to such immense difficulties, the whole of continental Europe might have turned to socialism

Well in a sense continental Europe was turning to socialism. Bavaria and Hungary were communist states for a while and the communist and democratic socialist parties had quite a large foothold in the parlements of many European countries.

>Could they have linked up with the Bolsheviks and ignited the world revolution?
No, the Spartacists weren't necessary friends of Russia

Another Bolshevik dictatorship would be two too many. Mind you, she probably went wrong in naming the political movement after a San Fransisco bathhouse. Major credibility failure right there.

They said during the cold war whoever controlled Berlin controlled Germany. Whoever controlled Germany controlled Europe. And whoever controlled Europe controlled the world.

This. It's not surprising that Nasties and Libtards don't into history.

Woulda just been another Paris Commune followed by a reinstallation of the Weimar Republic

This

Luxembourg and Lenin were not fans of each other

That's what actually happened. The question is if they won which the Paris Commune didn't.

>yfw you used to be a /pol/tard but then realized a feminist communist Polish-Jew was the world's last best hope.

>not sliding back into monarchism
European Meiji now

They didn't need to like each other. They were both intelligent people able to recognize their interests.
And it was to have allies.

Even after the failure if the spartakists, and before Moscow's takeover of the European communist parties under the komintern, during the war with Poland, Lenin and the gang had hopes to join forces with the German communists, if they managed to defeat the poles.

>They didn't need to like each other. They were both intelligent people able to recognize their interests.
>And it was to have allies.
worked well for the Mensheviks, Makhno, Hitler, and everyone else that allied with the Bolsheviks without being one

Well, for one, bolcheviks only crushed their allies when they were no longer useful, and the spartakists would not stop being useful. Germany is not Ukraine, you can't control it from Moscow.
But anyway, you can say this because of hindsight that Rosa and Karl didn't have. Even if allying would have been a mistake, it was a logical mistake to make at the time.

>Implying that without the USA this wouldn't end in an absolute disaster.
>French and Italy are completly up to the Task
>Great Britain supporting a preemptive war with strong circles that supported socialism in GB itself

The distinction is that no one really committed to winning the war for the whites. If there was a successful revolution in Germany, you can bet your tits there would be a committed anti-revolutionary army to kick Germany's teeth in.

This is one of the greatest "What Ifs" in human history.

I expect Marxism-Lenism would fail to be the dominant leftist form of government in such a timeline, but who knows.

They saw each other as comrades, although MLists always held a condescending view of the Sparticists, especially Rosa, given her tolerance of reformism and reluctant support of violent revolution.

Rosa Luxemburg was the most important German communist after Marx and Liebknecht, but what did the East German government name after her? One single fucking subway tunnel.

The KPD, which emerged out of the ashes of the Sparticist tragedy, were a bunch of good little Soviet toadies.

>
Rosa, the Spanish anarchists, and the Hungarian left-communists are really a three-part tragedy desu

From one delusion to the next, eh?
