Interior thread

Just downsized to a smaller space that does not have a closet. Looking for a closet/rack/stand to hang my shit. Also general interior thread.

I kind of want to buy a bean bag because they are comfy but I'm not sure how Veeky Forums they look.

Can we interiors with bean bags please.

Anyone know where i can get these shelves?

Pic related gets posted in every Veeky Forums interior design thread. I like stopping by and scrolling through but these threads are always the same photos over and over again.

they are pretty great and can be effay but can be really gross pretty quick. And if you keep it close to a window like they can actually get moldy.

i always see these open racks (or whatever you cal them in english) on Veeky Forums all the time - and they make me cringe
unless you only have, i don't know, only ten items and constantly in use, it all gets dusty and/or takes on the smells of your place (esp cooking)
i also don't understand why the shoes are kept with the clothes. i've seen this in u.s. closet spaces, maybe it's a climate thing, but where i am, the weather is kind of shit / wet half of the year, and it would be so gross.

get a muji bean bag

...

just moved to really old house myself and my apartment doesn't really have any closet space to begin with
and if I were to buy wardrobe, it would take up too much space from other things, that kinda open rack works perfectly for me right now and I try to aim for sorta small 'capsule' wardrobe anyway
now I only need some sorta shelf or drawer for my knits, tees & other shit I don't want to hang
pallets are kinda huge fucking meme when it comes to interior design but my neighbor has big fucking stack of them and he said I can use them if I want so I'll probably make something from those

i always think about the fact that sometimes i can have a pretty gassy night if ate something shit and my room can smell a bit like fart when i wake up if i forgot to open my window before I sleep lel. Your whole wardrobe would have a faint fart smell depending on how big/well ventilated your room is baka.

farting isn't Veeky Forums i know, anyone got any recs/inspo for completely stop farting

why is this shit in literally every single interior thread, it looks like shit

Fuck interior design, also curious how I can into stop farting

i'd say give it a try
but i live in an old house too, and after a week there can be a fine layer of dust everywhere
i mean, maybe it doesn't bother you, but i would store the more sensitive items at least in some sort of box or container (maybe on the pallets, maybe you can make it work to look ok) or as you mention in drawers
also sunlight can bleach out clothes, so be careful with darker items

why do people feel the need to ruin a room with a tv ?

For introverted socialisation

I cant believe that guy spent so much on eames and dieter rams stuff just to listen to Merriweather Post Pavilion

stop posting this

it's not practical, functional, nor aesthetically pleasing

it's hipster bullshit you find at urban outfitters

What should i do with the ivy here? Is it totally out of place? Should i trim it? Should i get rid of it? Should i get other plants instead?

There's something i like about it but right now it is a bit too much i think.

It's more for people who live in apartments or houses built before built-in closets were common.

My apartment has only one built-in closet, and it's in the bathroom.

For those apartment exist a thing called free standing wardrobes.
More practical, aestethical and functional those even have something called drawers to place ur socks and underwear inside.

The open rack thing is only good for those standing in closets, outside that in for example ur room ar just nasty.

Check this one is fucking usefull for 60 if ur low on cash.

Just guide it, Ivy can look real nice if properly guided aroung something but if u cant or dont want to move it, gift it away.

>sneakers above the door
>that random plank
>those wheels
>bench in front of the garage (?) door
What the fuck is this even

...

>but i would store the more sensitive items at least in some sort of box or container
Well yeah that will happen anyway as delicate things shouldn't really be hang like that anyway.

I'm gonna try to guide it over the door on the left when i get home.

I take it when I don't eat anything or eat a bunch of terrible food. Otherwise I could set off monoxide detectors with my ass gas

Why is there a jar of semen on the table?

because you see what you want to see
others may see shea butter or a some kind of a self-made candle in a glass.

The Veeky Forums rorschach test.

>throw pillows

>Shoes indoors.
>Shoes on beanbag.

The tv hides behind some foldable wood doors that slide inside the wall

thats americans for you

>tfw when you got your first real job and your first real flat and you have to decorate it now

I don't know what to dooooo

no no no
don't feel like that and don't stress yourself

>get shit used and for free if possible to have something in there
>figure out how much you wanna spend, what kinda thing you wanna go for etc.
>plan that shit and buy it piece by piece and throw the old cheap shit away as you get the things you want in place
all that being said, used and old furniture and things aren't necessarily bad and you can make your house look comfy as fuck with minimal effort with stuff like that

Those/armoires take up too much space, and most commercial options (And most vintage options as well.) are ugly.

Also >IKEA

Cheap garbage for boring people

yeah, that was also my plan. I will use some stuff I already have at first and then buy like a new thing every month. But it's really hard to decide on a general direction. The stuff I really like I can't afford anyway yet. I'm not spending 400€ on a fucking night stand.

ikea has a cheap one

that looks comfy as FUCK

Cringe!

Listen i said ikea, because i have no idea where u can buy ur furniture on the states and from internet everyone seems crazy for ikea there.

And no, those armoires take the same space an open rack.

And if that price is a step for u , u can find those even as low as 100€ just not as good lucking, but why better than open rack.

This. I don't know why people bring dirt into the house with their shoes, just get a shoe rack and put it near the front door and have some slippers next to it to use in the house.

i came

my apartment, moving out soon

isn't that the Eames house in LA?

this is before we had a place to store bathroom supplies

Americans also like wearing shoes around the house, which I find weird.
I can't wait to move out soon because my parents won't keep their shoes by the door and instead pile them all into a big, sweaty heap in the living room.

what do you call this type of furniture?

trash

looks depressing as fuck desu

I guided my ivy like this. Am i still overboard with it though? How does it look to you?

Personally I like overboard ivy desu. The placement of the shelves is pretty good in general.

looks better now, dont trim it that ivy is making an statement.

Sauce

Ivy statement

That plant is more fa than 99% of the people lurking here.

Thanks, i'm planning on buying more plants to place around the flat so i might move the ones next to the ivy elsewhere and get some other kind of plants on the shelf. Any suggestion, which?

pic or better a webm

what, open clothing racks? cheap, but who cares i'm in college.

ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60179434/

Is there an alternative for Ikea? With that I mean cheap but trendy looking furniture? I like Ikea but it seems like everybody has the same items

i love this so cool desu

How would you go about changing the furnitrue in your room? Would you start with one piece you really like and then build around it? This is quite difficult if you have completely free reign.

thank you

I love the way the TV is hidden behind the plant, modern TVs are eyesores

I think Ikea has a pretty good system you can buy.

Bumping this.
