Absolutely disgusting.
All the crap rolling down into your tub

what crap?

I love this

Nevermind the weed, booze, or heroin if you see it. Is my room effay? All vintage minus the office chair and I refinished the desk and bed. Bed is pre 1800s, desk is probably from the 1940s.

...

That thing outside the window, is that a sign for a major roadway?

ready-to-die core

yes, it's in the Nakamin Capsule Tower in Tokyo.

Jesus people post more of ur room pictures pls, ill post mine but im in between fixing stuff so it will look too damn bad,but ill post my entire apartment eventually.

I love this threads.

Hey Veeky Forums I'll move into a 28m2 room in October but I had to buy up the old furniture inside.

One of the furniture pieces is a huge ass Ikea "pax" closet that I don't really need since I'm a male and I don't own as much clothes.

Could I use it for something else or could I disassemble it without completely destroying it? I know IKEA doesn't have the best quality.

I thought the same exactly!!!

Best paint and carpet combo for a room lads?

so much water

sweet bed and desk, but your space is super cluttered, my dude. center the bed on the wall, and take the desk out of there, or at least use it exclusively as a nightstand.

how would you use that computer, apart fom being a literal midget?

U can transform it into something else, ikeahackers.net/category/pax/
28m2 room?
Did u seriously buy a room or is an studio? show pictures, but in a place that small u need storage, so even if u dont need that much room for clothes, u will need room for stuff, and by stuff i dont mean trash that u never use, i mean places to store usefull items, since if its a studio, surely it lacks storing space.
The bed headborad albest beautyfull is too big for an space like tthat, cut it .
also show us a better angles picture, we cant see if ur ceilings ar high or low, or how much space u got infront of the bed.

Well, you could just put a small bump in there

I've tried many configurations and this seems to work the best

I would just use it for everything first.
by being Japanese

>cut an extremely expensive pre civil war piece of furniture
Although I see your point I'd rather not. I was considering of moving this one to storage and getting a twin size wrought iron hospital bed to replace it. The room is very small.

I kinda like this, shit looks out of a cyberpunk world.

No it's a room in a shared flat, bathroom, kitchen etc. is seperated. So it's basically my bedroom, where I study etc.

So 28m2 are actually quite a lot. I haven't moved in yet so I can't take pictures. I have a few saved from the advertisment but they are taken by the previous owner and are pretty shitty.

On this pic you can see the IKEA pax and some shitty old couch.

Thanks for the link!

The bed is included as well. I think it's pretty bland as it is but the decoration and lamps will be gone by October

That fur thing lol

u buy the furniture or rented the furniture, carefull or u could loose the lease.
Well if ur sharing it means ur poor, so dont buy fad and buy if needed.I mean this, people often have their ideas about how a place should look before living on them and it end ups blowing in their face when they actually try to live with the stuff.Get to live there, make the place urs, but do it slowly i dont like that ikea stuff either, but with a little diy work, theres a lot to use and transform in that room, is not like that room was used before as a crack house.

Now dont come but i live in ny and here shit is so expensive so thats why i share, is that the case ur just poor for ny standar even if ur considered rich in somalia.

Is ur first time living solo?u gave me the impression so what i told u, i told u for a reason.

What do u like, where does ur inspiration came from? Victorian, industrial, eclectic, bohemian?Answer that and everything that u will be changing to get to that ideal, should be done step by step, do not overbuy.

rate my boring room

I'm renting the place, but I bought some of the furniture from the previous owner.
I live in an expensive town in Germany, that's why I'm moving into a shared flat, it's actually quite common here.

I'm not poor per se, I'm a student but I work on the side so I'll try to be as frugal as possible as I don't like spending a lot of my hard earned money. So basically I approach the situation as if I was a poorfag.

It's the third place I'm moving into, my ex girlfriend decorated our old flat so I'm pretty clueless about decoration and that's why I'm asking here.

As for inspiration, I really just started looking. I lurked the previous two interior threads and decided I want a fair amount of plants, a relatively big rug and in general a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Even though I have a rough idea about them, I don't know much about those styles you listed but I'm open for everything really.

>Go to run bath.
>2 weeks later.

Yeah i supposed u lived in an expensive town and u didnt had enough money to live on ur own, so u shared, dont be offended by the term poor, ur student with a job on the side so is not like u got the time to be making the big bucks.
So is not an if i was a poorfag, but as i am a poorfag.

Now with the important stuff, the previous room is full ikea, and the main difference with the picture u shared and it aside from the obvious no plants, is the lack of texture, thats probably what u dont like at all.
All the lack stuff completely in white, without any hint of being real wood, real metal, real iron in it, is just so anticomfy.
The fact that u like plants, a big rug, shows that ur someone who craves for texture.

Ill reutilize the ikea table as an stand for plants, but away from the center of the room.
Also most of that ikea white boring stuff could be improved if u wallpaper it, specially the wardrobe.
The wardrobe if u find a wallpaper with something like this :gobelenshop.ru/uploads/product/500/548/thumbs/70_karta51.jpg
And u plaster it on it, will look full of texture and become a pretty neat focal point, i do not recomend downsizing it, since smaller wardrobes tend to collec dust on top, and also in general will look less sturdy, wich for a 28 meter room will look worst.

The couch is ok, i see it working with anystyle u want, of couse i preffer a leather one, but that one u got is not bad, plus it can be turned into a bed for treeshomes and stuff, real usefull.

Once u start living there, u start buying plants and trying to find where to place them, even moving the desk to where u need it, u will realize that probably half the furniture in the picture will serve u a porpuse, so wait before buying new, and upcycle, paint and modify it to look as u want it.
From what i see on the 3/11 picture, the previous owner didnt even had room to place the printer properly so that corner could benefit with better storage, but u will realize this on ur own

My advice doesnt come because i liked the ikea white stuff, i see what u dslike about those stuff because i dislike it too, and also because i crave texture as much as u do.
Thats why i know, having some shitty stuff that allow u to experiment with it is a great thing, because if u just throw it away and u get a finished furniture from a fancy place, u would just place it where u think it will work, but u wouldnt try to make holes on it, to paint it, because it will ruin ur costly piece, with the ikea stuff driving a hole on it, painting it, or wallpapering it will be a no deal, and thats how u create an space that is yours.

The thing that in my place gates the biggest compliments, is a tv stand from the 60's that was full rusted when i got it.Also a painted tripod stand that was full of stains before i painted it and now i use it as a coat rack.

this room looks like someone went nuts and bought literally every meme ikea piece they could find. Ikea makes nice basics, but needs to be rounded out with more substantial pieces, thrifted antique stuff ideally.

>this room looks like someone went nuts and bought literally every meme ikea piece they could find

no idea why but that made me kek. thanks user

>ahoy mateys

do you guys have any experience with concrete wallpapers? i really like the look of it, but i don't know if they are detailed enough for the illusion to work.

I posted this OC

what are you even talking about? do you really hate innovation this much, you pleb?

>I posted this OC
nice, info?

I need a bookcase :(

looks like the spare bedroom in my gran's house

Rate this shot I took in my apartment please?

I'm into antiques so I guess that's what I'm going for

From 1 to 10?
lame/10
Seriously, people like ur ar mass produced, like if ur mothers was inseminated with the blandest sperm to create a souless human, that closely resembles a person except of course by the total lack of personality.
So when u posted, that shot of ur apartment, did u try to make it look that different to the other photos that people like u post, or it was an streak of luck that made it look that unconventional and original?

Have u ever feeled Deja vu? thats probably one of ur clones malfunctioning and sending u feedback by mistake.

Jesus fuck, become a serial killer, kill ur clones maybe u become like Jet li in the one, theres a big chance u level up if u do so, i mena what can go wrong? Jail ?loosing liberty?
Is not like u need liberty at all, with all the liberty u got and u couldnt come out with anything better than mass produced child labor.
i was gonna end this with kys, but better if:

Kill ur clones.

And, nice plant can i know variety?

Well if someone as autistic as you doesn't like it then I know im on the right track. Thanks :)

sorry user this guy is right

where tf are your other clothes? youre just putting your jackets and shoes on display in your own roomm on what looks like a rack youd find in a shop just sitting against a wall

and the plant looks shit too, shitty plastic pot thats way to small for it, and i bet its one of those meme "never die" plants too

y r u taking artsy shots of ur room anyway, whats wrong with the rest of it

get some fucking color at least
fuck

o yea and how long did it take for you to get that sleeve showing ACG to the camera just right
u probably stood there for 10 minutes angling all the jackets to get your shitty overused brand on full display
yet another thing that makes this look like a damn shop display

Also the plant is a dinner plate aralia. Nice plant. :)

spot on
it's a boring bland shot of a room too obviously copied from the circlejerk of room inspo threads here
I never really understood the appeal of those racks
just get a wall rack or armoire

I think this is super cool user. I like it. It's not functional but definitely aesthetically pleasing

>y-you're just autistic

That looks extremely dangerous

>walking about in ur bathroom, brushing ur teeth
>u dont notice the edge of the ramp
>ur foot steps just too far onto it
>theres condensation everywhere, so u instantly slip
>theres nothing for u to catch yourself on
>your hand scrabbling against the wall tips you slighlty sideways
>as you slip down the ramp your head hits the neat, sharp corner of the stair
>the police only find your body the following friday, when your neighbours get suspicious tht u havent left your house all week

cyberpunk aesthetic with a sleeper build on your pc? fucking nice

for paint choose a hot pink color then a black carpet or white carpet

very monochrome but nice.

looks like a hotel room except for the pc

>displaying and taking pictures of your overpriced garbage bag jackets like they're anything worth looking at
>implying anyone with taste or any sort of class has something as irrelevant as clothes taking up space and being visible in their living area

this is the funniest consumerism meme
the only thing that would make this picture better is a framed nike logo on the wall

what monitors are those they look super nice

...

It's very comfy, but
>heating/cooling issues
>insulates your room to the temperature of hell if you don't have proper a/c
>one light catches fire and you're room is done
too much of a safety hazard with all those lights around.

Lol that's what a girl told me, I totally agree.
They're AOC monitors, they're pretty nice.

>when the ikea set designer stops taking the depression meds

awww yiss I've been waiting for the day that Veeky Forums started having interior design threads.

How are electric lights gonna catch fire?

also
>implying i would ever live in a non comfy hot third world country

>How are electric lights gonna catch fire?

>light bulbs can magically catch fire

My fiancée and I are trying to figure out how to mesh our two styles together. She likes pink and cute stuff like this although not as crazy. I prefer dark wood and antiques.

While I'm more into stuff like this

Wwllim gonna be honest with u, and i think something great can came out of that combination.
And by great i mean something really original.
Go victorian inspired for both of u, just if she likes pink is easier to mix pastel pink than that hardcore uber bright pink.

that could work so good.
Pic related of what i meant, but the picture of what ur fiancee likes, is quite 70's inspired aswell, does she likes that mix and match of eras also or thats just because u couldnt find a better picture?
Btw, im glad someone here is atleast gonna try something really different, keep up with us about the progress.

Thank u user, i like it, that plant looks like an oversized bonsay and surprisingly not as a tree.I was surprised it wasnt a Ficus instagram tree.
Nice.
No, ur not in the right track,i know someday u will have a moment with urself and realize that u can feel and even think outside what ur programmed to do, that momment the uprising of the clones may start, and remenber was because a really generouos user as myself was honest with u.

That was so spot on Lmao.

>you rent so your poor
>I don't like ikea

man I know why I don't hang around on this board anymore

Are you literally retarded?

Inside each one there's a wire heated to such a high temperature that it glows. That is how light bulbs work.

no you are. you don't know what you are talking about. Modern day LED is very unlikely to cause fires.

-u share is not equal to u rent.
-dont like THAT ikea is not equal to not liking all inside ikea.

The reason u dont hand around this board anymore is because ur too obviusly retarded to use what u learn in this board outside of it, so yeah ur place is out of this board so fuck off u wont be missed.

Tips on bed solution? I'm about to move and need some ideas. I thought about putting just a mattress on the floor but apparently it's hard to keep clean.

Also, I want to get rid of my computer because the whole desk is uneffay, but Iknow im going to miss it.

Put the computer in another room. Keep the bedroom for sleeping/sex (as if anyone on Veeky Forums is having sex, but regardless). Floor mattress until you can get a bed frame and box spring.

Floor matress doesnt get as dirty as u think,i have mine on the floor because i sleep better with it on the floor than in a bed frame, and it doesnt get dirty if u keep the room clean, of course it may be different if ur sharing and u live in the room except for cooking, but if u keep the room as the other user said for sex and sleeping not only ur health will improve but also it will remain cleaner.

Seriously when u use ur room just for sex and sleeping it becames sanctuary like, helps u sleep and everything.
Only thing it wont help u get laid, so that u would have to do on ur own.Gl.

Ur gonna get an apartment or ur gonna share?

Have you ever been around a christmas tree?

That isn't an LED light you tard. That's a filament bulb. If they use wires conducting electricity at a high temperature to produce a light, they aren't LED.

Since you're the interior god I guess I'd ask you:

What should I put on my walls to make my living room a bit more comfy? I recently bought my own place but never gave wall decoration that much thought. I know nothing about art, and just buying some weird piece for the sake of decoration seems a bit odd to me, are framed pictures an option?

I cringed reading this because it has such a painfully high chance of happening

>extremely dangerous
the "men" of Veeky Forums everyone.

>feeled

...

yours is fucking superior. hers is 70s regurgitation

2012/10, but i still like it

Ooo she would like that. Hers is toned down but she loves pink and gold.it's hard to find a good representation. She likes Dalmatian print. Betsey Johnson is her favorite designer if that helps

this thread is about interior design, not jackets.

Yeah framed pictures ar a good option, just dont use meme pictures, like those motivational ones, but what u like and better of if u short the pictures by theme and/or color and try to make them blend with the general spirit of the room/place. What do u like? Ar u a photographer?
take it as what it is, dont be afraid to be diferent but embrace it, no one is gonna ever apreciate the ability to copy others, but everyone is gonna prize originality specially when it cames out well, but even when it doesnt u will be glad u took the oportunity to try.

I see like a Cruella De Vil moves to Beverly Hills.
There is one word to describe her: Fabulous.
Now best way to mix it, if she sets the base layers, like room color, tapestrys, the rug, and u add the classic persona on the accesorys and also the storage option, like for example form what u told me, ithink u like things a like a world globe, well a vintage one, will look amazing for example, also a beautyfull vintage bar cart, a vintage bookcase, all of that could be melt together into an awsome room.
----
I think i should start placing an add to work as an online decoratorThats something i seriously enjoy, and most of the times here, i dont give full disclosed advice because it takes a really personalided aproach that will take me much time searching ,measuring and talking to the people who need help decorating.

interior god pls tell me what I can do with mah new rented room on a budget without going full ikeacore

another pic

Where in Munich?

lol I remeber you from a previous thread about the same room

get plants, curtains and maybe some posters with nice frames, that shit would do alot

also some shelves

>Yeah framed pictures ar a good option, just dont use meme pictures, like those motivational ones, but what u like and better of if u short the pictures by theme and/or color and try to make them blend with the general spirit of the room/place. What do u like? Ar u a photographer?

not really, I do make pics with my dslr when I travel, (pic related) and since I have tons of them I'd figure it would be cool to frame some. They may not be the best pics out there but atleast they are made by me and gives it a personal touch. Sorting the pics by color and theme are a good idea, I will try that out, thanks

Anybody knows any stores or websites that are good alternatives for IKEA? I mean in the cheap but still trendy way?

I like IKEA but everybody seems to have the same pieces in their home, just wondering if there are different options

Does my dorm look comfy?

Got any 1-room w/ kitchen inspiration photos? I'm moving into a 1 room w/ own kitchen and bathroom in October

it does, user

Lamp wire is triggering my autism. Nice overall.

Put some nice drape on sofa/armchairs

It does actually, well done user.
