I owned original Stans and leather quality is definetely better both visibly and inside. Not worth retail, but good white sneakers if bought during sale. Got them because I can't stand CPs slim silhouette that looks out of place in most of fits.

(wooden) shoe trees in CPs are for absorbing moisture. The shoe trees in the GATs are og German Army shoe trees with an extra high instep which will hopefully stretch the shoes out a bit on the top part, cause they're a bit tight due to the rubber strap under the tongue.

Old made in England 1461s with brown/translucent sole (not mono) and no stitching, don't think they make this model anymore but there's a few on eBay. They have a slimmer silhouette (less wide) than modern docs, similar to solovair 1462
