Why are higher waist pants out of style for men?
Most people I see with their shirts tucked in like this have to pull their pants higher which makes the crotch uncomfortably high.

I can't wear these pants. I have long legs and a shirt torso
Post pic
I wish it was in style. Or at least medium rise. I have a long torso and average legs and I look goofy as hell in all this low rise shit. Also I Jeanne a larger than average dick and a larger ass.
Fuck my life.
Pic related. Trousers feel ok but I wish they were higher waisted.
a shit ton of "avant-garde" designers make high waisted pants
Because high rise looks good only with wide pants and since skinny pants were in style for last decade it is a bit complicated to return high rise.
Wide/regular cut slowly becoming "default" for normies right now and high rise is a next step.
>Wide/regular cut slowly becoming "default" for normies right now and high rise is a next step.
Normies are still wearing skinny jeans as their default.
you actually can, you've just never tried them
Why don't you just buy high rise pants? You don't look you really care what's "in" to begin with.
>high rise looks good only with wide pants
nope
It was never fashionable, these guys were literally just losers who could not pay for a tailor. Never in history has it been fashionable for a man to wear baggy pants.
Lemaire
thats just too effay man
Our Legacy Chino 22 and 24, Lemaire, and Margaret Howell do this style of pants.
Where can I find decent high rise effay chinos for us peasants?
I have a pair of 80/90s high waisted black jeans, they're comfy, but even more so when dropped to "normal waist" height if needed
...
Ur stupid
>when dropped to "normal waist" height if needed
You mean hip, to get the fashionable poopy pants look??
I find it really hard to find them, that's why. Specifically trousers that aren't hideously baggy and wide in the leg. Do you have any suggestions? (Euro)
Something under 200 euros please.
You have to tailor them, but you should wear them more relaxed imo
they are for women now
But yeah the way my body is built, I need high waisted stuff. I've got an unfashionably huge cock and balls, and not the longest legs, so finding pants is a nightmare.
luckily no, they're not super high wasted and they're quite loose at the top, so it looks normal at the intended and "sagged" height, I'm not dumb enough to look like I shat myself
I would suggest searching specifically for Tapered high wasted/rise trousers, they usually have a wider crotch area and then get a more refined leg
Army parade trousers ;^)
Universal Works.
Ditto buddy.
>Why are higher waist pants out of style for men?
Because most men are fat now and high waist pants look terrible on fatties.
A huge cock is always fashionable.
low waist looks equally bad on fatties
false
>in style
What the fuck is this garbage, just go buy some or make some yourself if you like them. Fuck "what's in style" You do you, faggot.
People are used to men looking like that though, and in my opinion it's still the lesser of two evils.
this post is hilarious
id on walkman?
Aiwa
The problem with not being in style is the same as not being popular. It's not widely accessable for decent prices (120€ around about is what I want) in slimmer fits.
>or Make your own
Hey how about fuck you?
>It's not widely accessable for decent prices (120€ around about is what I want) in slimmer fits.
it absolutely is
all you have to do is look in the women's sections of thrift stores
>Why are higher waist pants out of style for men?
they're not
I thought this was be a good idea until I realised it wasn't.
as normie fashion they are out.
it actually is
why not just buy the grandpa pants from the same trift store, and then have them tailored?
high waisted pants are definitely in for men you fucking retards
why are any of you even on a fashion board
too much effort
Because companies decide to make low wasted pants to save pennies
Also if you look like shit in low waist jeans then you will look like shit in high waist jeans, there’s no hope for you
“Normies” don’t even give a fuck about the waist height
Sony walkman
>Also if you look like shit in low waist jeans then you will look like shit in high waist jeans, there’s no hope for you
not in the context of good proportions, no.
...
Maybe you shouldn’t be tucking in all your shirts
guess what buddy, if you want something you need to put effort into it
>not tucking in your shirts
>not owning mid-rise jeans in the midst of a low-rise epidemic
t. nu-male
sauce on these pants?
Uniqlo
why do that when you can just cut out the middleman in the first place?
this
North Korea fashion capital of the world? They've been rocking the high waist for 70 years.
q. Is all of fa this stupid?
a. No. Just you.
This, I gave up on slim and skinny
What are some decent, affordable mid-rise skinny or slim/slim-regular jeans? I like how my 511's fit but hate the low waist. The tiny pelvis and long torso looks awful and needs an untucked shirt hanging down to hide it.
Also inb4 go to tailor. I'm far too much of an autistic hiki to bring my pants to someone for modification.
are those JNCO dress pants?
jnco jeans have an entirely different fit and drape
why can't Veeky Forums comprehend nuance
W2c sweaters like this, that don't go all the way to your crotch?
Sure if you don't actually care how clothes fit.
this only works if you are tall and white.
for us ethnic manlets, we need slim closer to the waist to help not looking further like little kids
if youre a neet, use free time to learn sewing???
Excuses
i have high waisted thom Browne pants, feels comfy and honestly looks fine with just pants and a ocbd and complimenting shoes.
No belt loops though
good fucking question here
Care to post a fit pic with the TB pants?
>Why are higher waist pants out of style for men?
It took them a long time to con men into wearing low-rise and it's taking a long time for them to con them back into high-rise.
>tfw only picture you had got deleted and only thing left are glass window reflections of fit.
I'll try take one later on. They're long as fuck though so I gotta roll them up super thick
I'm 5'9 and 70kg.
Is it a matter of proportion?
I HATE low rise pants as I constantly feel like they're falling off.
BUT
I don't know what suits my proportions...
Yeah it's proportions. If you have proportionally long torso then you should wear higher waisted trousers.
yeah +1 to this, I'm 6'2 but i just have long legs and a fairly short torso, high waisted look really dumb on me unless I get a really good fit which takes ages to shop around for.
>high waist pants look terrible on fatties
This post is almost as retarded as niggerhater guy's. High waist pants make fat guys look better than all other options do. It's just that there's only so much you can do with the concept of "being a fatass who wears clothing". You'll never come out looking like David Gandy. Just a damn sight better than if you wore a low rise.
Time travel to the 1950s t bh
I actually don’t wear jeans since jeans are the ultimate normie wear >;)))))
Veeky Forums cares way too much, to the point of pure autism
most clothing will fit fine if you just buy your size
this is stupid advice and nobody ever backs it up with examples
Pants are very rarely true to size anymore, vanity sizing is fucking rife.
You never heard of high waisted skirts? This is literally what girls with short legs do every day lol.
>this only works if you are tall and white.
yet it was Mexicans who made the Zoot Suit popular
Most high waisted trousers are true to size i've noticed
Do high waisted pants for around $50 even exist?
I find trousers to be pretty true. Average jeans keep diving in quality and have more size variation. Like the same jean model in the same size will vary slightly pair to pair.
Dickies 874 really. Wool no except trifting
I've got some Hard Yakka (Australian workwear) pants that seem at least comparatively high-waisted. I'm not sure if that's a trick of the way they're sized, though. I got these when I was relatively fat so if you get them with a slimmer waist the rise might not be the same?
everythingaustralian.com.au
Wrangler Cowboy Cut* are definitely high-waisted and I'm pretty sure well below $50.
*If it doesn't say cowboy cut it almost certainly isn't cowboy cut. Get them online.
Seeing as Dickies has them on sale for $20(okay so that's only $5 off but it's still something) I'll get a couple of pairs, thanks!
cringe
girls have been wearing high waisted skinny jeans for a while now
wrangler cowboy cut
I unironically like that guy's look.
90s faggot
