A lot of what you're getting about Pope Francis being socialist or liberal or a "Muslim sympathizer" comes from twisted sources. Francis can be somewhat awkward, so people will twist what he says to support their own agenda.
Francis isn't a socialist, but he is very critical of modern capitalism and materialism as a Catholic should be. I'm not sure where you'd get that he's a Muslim sympathizer. He advocates treating Muslims nicely and letting in refugees, but I don't think that's enough to be a "sympathizer"

You're using a semantic argument from a book originally written in Aramaic and arguing the semantics of its Indo-European language translation. If you don't think this is a problem then look at any Afro-Semitic languages' poeticism and then argue that Jesus Christ meant that the Pharisees were literally irredeemable spawns of the Devil.
Further, with your unassailable argument, one could argue that all who do not abide by the Catholic (for example) interpretation of the Bible are followers of Satan. They are simply misguided [by Satan], no matter how you look at it, not followers of Satan. Only Satanists hold that burden.
