2) A lot of the LGBT community has expressed disdain for capitalism because they think capitalism as a system oppresses them (whether that's actually true or not).
3) It's not just the alt-right that are critical of Marxism. Both mainstream political parties and the vast majority of Americans are.

..That's simply functional, not logical in any way.

That it's difficult and challenges your beliefs does not make it less true. Also the punitive system can exist as-is even without free will, because those who are destined to commit crime should be in prison anyway. Whether or not they had free will to make the destructive choices they did does not matter, they still are highly more likely to make similar choices in the future so it's logical to cordon away those people behind bars where they can't destroy more of society. You might read about compatibilism because provides an answer for how free will can be non-existent (as it almost certainly is) but also how we can have a sense of agency because from our own perspectives we feel as though we are choosing.
