Interested in "working" with people who want to start an anonymous file sharing/upload site.

This is a screenshot of what I have so far.

Thinking about adding "enterprise" features - eventually.

And "availabled" has been corrected.

Would anyone use this?

If links can be password protected. And old files get deleted.

Passwords can be applied to files with "registered" accounts only... ATM

How is this different to other anonymous file-sharing websites? There are tons of them.

It's built with security and ease-of-use in mind (to name a few things) - as well as being a product from a Veeky Forumsraelite.

Login page coming along...

the logo looks like something that already exists

...

looks good OP, how did you makey?

Anonymously
>has a login

You can upload anonymously OR have an account to manage your uploads etc.

Its not. I actually released it on GitHub earlier today. I do plan on selling "enterprise" solutions of this software and some of my other projects - combining them maybe... not to sure yet.

Google Adsence.

DUH

What do you need, partners or investors? I have moderate interest

Partners. Someone who wants to bring ideas, suggestions and/or criticism to the table.

Pay me for my criticism you cunt.

Sure. Here is $10K. Please call me a cunt again.

Post the github repo or some contact info.

>what makes it different from other existing services that offer similar file storage capabilities?
>how do you intend to monetize this?
>what does 'working with' you entail?
>how much would this project cost?
>how can you ensure its users security?
>how will you regulate illegal content shared through this platform?

1. At the moment, nothing sets us apart fr,om other services. I have built a "base" and over the coming weeks and months I will continue to work on it. How would you like to see it differ from other similar services?

2. One idea I have tossed up is offering an "enterprise" solution. I am not 100% sure what this will entail and once again, I am open to suggestions.

3. 'Working with' me entails providing ideas, suggestions and criticism. You don't need to be a 'programmer'. But you will need to provide some sort of CV to show what you can bring to the table.

4. I have set aside an initial monthly budget of $10K for the next 2 years to take care of hosting and marketing.

5. As with the rest of this project, this is open to discussion ie. what type of security would you like to see included?

6. We can discuss this further at a later date. I do have an "idea" but don't want to disclose too much here

are you retarded or something?

uguu.se

Retarded? Nope.

Lets look at Slack... Created a "basic" chat system at first - something that was created over and over again. Than someone asked them "Hey, can you do this?" and someone else asked "Hey. Can you make it do that?"...

Now let's take a look at Slack now...

Would you call them retarded?

sure, how are we going to talk, Tox?

Checks out.

Some things that have bugged me about most downloading sites

1. Not able to download multiple files at once. As in, browse a collection, select a few, click download, and get a .zip with all the files in it.

2. Annoying ads/fake "click to download!" buttons etc.

3. no good "related files" recommendations along the bottom (Like porn sites).

... Got a few more if you need more ideas.

Send me an email cidituchis at thraml dot com

...

i mean the site

Yes. There's no reason to use slack.

Looks nice, clean, and simple. Would use.

What you really wanna get into is datamining where you pay people a small amount for the data they provide to you to sell off to other companies that use the data to further their business.

Think bing, which is somewhat doing that, compared to google.

Thanks. Feel free to check out the project on GitHub.

Go on....

hey it looks really elegant so far. i dig it.

>make site like google
>develop an algo that brings up the best search results
>be transparent about data mining, who you sell the data to, who you collect the data from, how much you receive for the data you sell, how much you pay out for receiving data to sell to other companies
>start attacking google and yahoo and the likes to generate PR
>sell off the site to some guy hopefully for more than what it's worth

Too much work customers don't want to put in their credit card details, customers prefer to be paid in free services

This

OP focus on making it as clean and simple as possible. Perhaps make the background a bit off-white, it's easier on the eyes.

No ads, no bloat. Just a simple drag/drop function and log in/register at top maybe, with click down menu for more options once you're logged in.

nice logo, real original

>putting in credit card stuff
>too much work

Why are you using the Adobe creative cloud logo?

Shit, I hope you didn't pay for that OP.

Why would I use this over mega?

I know you, OP. What happened to puritair?

Seeing this I have to apologize shitting on your games Rob, I mean they were shit, but you evolved. This is a really good idea, wish you success.

not interested wtf is this fetish about clouds and shit?
if i can't encrypt my files on the client side conveniently if i don't have total control over who sees what content, i'm not interested.
also encryption and security is worthless if it's not open source.

lmao

answer this question
>why would anyone want to use your site over something like mega?

Just a couple of quick questions OP. Don't worry about monetization as of yet, build it first.

As mentioned by some of the other guys, there already exists many file sharing sites (e.g. Mega, DropBox). You haven't answered these questions, but your 2-week policy intrigues me. Perhaps you are looking at something more secure, more anonymous? More, underground, perhaps?

Also, it's too troublesome for your users to install it. I'm looking at your instructions to run various code and it turns me off. It's too much of a hassle... Nobody will do it unless you can guarantee complete anonymity, but then you'll have a client base with all the wrong intentions. Ya dig? If you guarantee complete anonymity and it's easier to use than Tor, they will come.

I see the "create custom dashboard" under your ToDo, so I won't bug you about it, but really your focus should be to make it idiot-proof. It'll be good if your landing page was straight up like that of , with the login at the top right maybe?

Also, regarding your logo... It shouldn't be too much of a concern as of now, but you should look into getting that changed as soon as your app starts attracting a small user base. How about you make your logo the red cloud? Or maybe something that projects security, that would be good too. Shutter blinds, padlocks etc.

Why'd you pick a name that's already in use by another business? LOL

cloudred.com/

I doubt that he's tried to registered the name without even a working product, so he's still ok. Still a valid concern though - but nothing too serious as of yet

i made this mistake too once.
i started developing a WASTE clone in C# that was going by the name DarkNET but turns out it was already taken.
then i stopped developing because i realized the limitations. i realized something like Hamachi (just opensource, because closed source security is snakeoil shit) is better but i felt it was above me to write something like that with the virtual network adapters drivers and shit.
