I don’t understand the point of this type of thread. If I like something I’ll buy it. If I can’t afford it then I won’t get it. I don’t have a set of arbitrary rules or spending limits, this is like the most autistic shit, buckaroo!

>Coats/jackets
$400-500 for a leather jacket, $200-300 for wool jacket, $200 for a blazer. I don't think jackets is something you should be cheap ib but the good thing about jackets is that they can be gotten used and in very good condition on places like Grailed and Ebay.

>Shoes/sneakers/boots
This is very personal. Either you have a cheap rotation with variety or you get a few pairs of good quality. Still, my absolute limit is $500 and, like jackets, it's very easy to find used in good condition for less than half as retail. I've gotten SLP boots at $450 and Allen Edmonds under $100 this way.

>Trousers/denim/joggers
$50. I've gotten my own pair of raw denim for $200 and I didn't get the craze. Maybe you can get great raw denim for more but for me nothing beats a classic pair of Levi's or Uniqlo selvedge.

>Sweaters/shirts/T-shirts
$30 for polos tees with designs I really like, $15 for basic tees, $20 for henleys, $50 for dress shirts (although, if you like thrifting, you're better off getting used brooks brothers shirts).
I wouldn't splurge on shirts as they're usually layered.
Sweater is your call depending on your weather.

>Hats/gloves/scarves/socks
Depends on your weather.

>Coats/jackets
500€ for a wool coat. Around 100 for light cotton jacket.
>Shoes/sneakers/boots
~300€ for gw derbies. Sneakers like 50 at tops. Boots same as shoes.
>Trousers
200€ for wool trousers at most, older yohji, issey etc. Cotton twill trouser 100? I don't know, currently my only cotton trousers are dickies.
>Sweaters/shirts/t-shirts
100-150 for a fluffy wool sweater. Shirts 60€, maybe 100 if the fit is right. T shirts for like 25€ if i like it very much.
>Hats/gloves/scarves
Like 30€ for wool beanie, don't any other headgear. I wear wool mittens, so like 30€ at most maybe (all my current ones are made by my gradma so 0€ :^) ) 70 for a nice wool scarf at most.

dunno how high I *would* go but I've paid
$1k for a pair of derbies
$1k for a parka
$600 for wool coat
$800 for a pair of sneakers
$800 for trousers
$250 for a hat
From browsing the waywt and recent cops threads, I have seen people spend more. I might have done likewise if I had more disposable income and I saw something I really liked
Snowboarding, travel and clothes are basically all I spend my money on though

>Coats/jackets
under 500
>Shoes/sneakers/boots
shoes 800 or so, sneakers 100 at most, boots 800 or so
>Trousers/denim/joggers
300
>Sweaters/shirts/T-shirts
sweatshirt 200 or so, tee 100 at most, shirt 500 or so
>Hats/gloves/scarves/socks
100 at most

i make 6k monthly

forgot to mention how much I earn. $200k a year before taxes.

How much do you spend on shinpads per month?

I don't have any set maximum shit

wouldn't have issue spending more but I've got everything I have cheap as fuck

> backpack

> jacket

No more than 100 bucks for anything else

>2000
>1000
>600
>300
>150

this

somewhere around $600

that would be pretty rare though

i make about 50k a year

In college living on 800/mo for rent/food/bills from parents and making like $150 otherwise for other shit. But I expect to be making like 70k when I graduate based on my degree (engineering master's from a decently well known school) so I'll include my standards for that too if I think it'll change.

>coats/jackets
Never spent more than like $50 recently, most of them are used/thrifted. Would spend like $200-$300 on a used wool down the road but I can't see myself buying a wool coat new.

>shoes/sneakers/boots
Currently $200 max for shoes/boots but I could see myself spending like $500 on cordovan on sale, probably like $50 max for sneakers which will never change.

>trousers
Never spent more than $50 (not counting suits I guess) but I would spend like $100-$150 on wool trousers if I had to dress business casual more often.

>jeans
Levi's is fine. I've thrifted more expensive brands from upscale ish thrift stores for like $20 though.

>sweaters/shirts/t-shirts
Currently would spend like $50 max on a sweater because I already have too many. In theory I would definitely spend upwards of $100 for thick wool or cashmere. Currently would spend like $25 on a shirt cause I have too many and thrifting shirts is easy as fuck. Can't ever see myself having a collection of casual shirts that isn't like 80% thrift desu.

>coat/jacket
2k unless it's something i desperately need
>footwear
same as above
>trousers/denim
probably 1k, not much i care about goes for that much though
>sweaters/shirts/t shirts
probably upwards of 1k for sweaters, 500 for shirts, and 200 for t shirts
>hat/gloves/scarves/socks
for hats and scarves upwards of like 500, for gloves maybe 200-300, socks i don't give a shit about so like idk. 50 or so.
all usd and my absolute highest limit pretty much.

I call bullshit

poor/fa/g here

$200 for shoes

$100 for everything else

I'm a college student. Until now I was living with my parents and used my summer work money to buy my clothes. I currently live on my own off my student loan. Note that I'm a manlet so I have to take alterations into account when I buy shit (I must always get sleeves / legs shortened).

>Coats/jackets
Probably €500, but it would need to be a bargain or a true grail.

>Shoes/sneakers/boots
€300, footwear matters.

>Trousers/denim/joggers
€150 but I cannot remember the last time I spent more than €100 on trousers.

>Sweaters/shirts/T-shirts
€200 would be my absolute maximum for a shirt, but it would really have to be worth it.

7k for parka
2k for shoes
1,5k for pants
300 for hoodie
100 for t-shirt
1,5k for knits
1k for jeans
300 for sneakers

It is my willingness to pay, not the actual payments I did.

post a pic of the parka and shoes. I gotta see dis shit

Coats/Jackets: $300
Shoes/boots: $250
Pants: $60
Shirts: $80
Hats/Gloves/scarves/socks: $100
Skirts: $80

that being said I thrift a considerable amount of my wardrobe. but for the right item of clothing that's the maximum I'd be willing to spend.

I make about $15,000 a year

Pretty nice

Le epic Veeky Forums meme

Money I get from my parents and money I get from flipping watches. I dont really see the watches as any real Income because i do it for fun in my free time, Im still in school.

Where'd you learn about that? How much can you make doing it?
I have a job and shit, just curious cuz I'venever heard of someone doing that before

What’s the most you have made/lost in a single flip?

The technical/practical stuff i learn at watchmaking school, the details you need to know for collecting brands and stuff can all be found online. Just do a lot of research.
I have no idea how much i could make doing it.

This 18kt gold omega cushion case I bought for €40. It needed a new hour wheel and balance staff, and I had to reshape the hairspring (a lot of time and effort.)
I sold that watch €3600 I think. Total expenses would be €200 (the watch+parts+new strap) it was a combination of getting a great deal and finding the exact right buyer for something.
I havent had any big losses because the watches I buy are generally watches I also want to wear. If I cant get it sold ill just wear it myself.

i make about 1200 every pay, it's okay. i don't pay rent but i pay bills which still leaves me with some money to play. i usually spend all my money on synths but desu i have my eye on an acronym jacket and call me stupid but i am willing to pay 2 grand

I’m in the same position. That is stupid user. I makes about 1400 after tax. Same as you, I don’t pay rent but I pay bills. Left with about 1000 to play with. Got my eye on a pair of boots for 700. Ik I’m going to get buyers remorse after but I really want them.

although now i avoid retail and like shopping secondhand or buying cheap trash and wearing it with high end garms, i stopped giving a fuck

Earmuff maniac gore-tex jacket with cloak
CCP tornado spiral zip boots

>coats/jackets
I've personally spent $2,600 on a fur-lined parka but that's because it's really cold in the winter where I live. In most circumstances the most I'd pay is $1,000

>Shoes/sneakers/boots
$800 on shoes, $600 on shoes, any price on boots

>trousers/denim
The trousers I wear the most end up costing about $400 but the most I've spent on them was $1,200 for that runway Yohji. I have one pair of denim and they ran me about $150

>Sweaters/shirts/t-shirts
I will spend anything on a good sweater. $200 on shirts if they're basic but if they're stylized I'm much more flexible. All my tees are from Lands End lmao

>hats/gloves/scarves/socks
$30 on hats, $100 on gloves, $400 on scarves, $10 on socks

I am studying, so like 600/month I get from my state.
Later on in my life it'll probably be a lot more like

>>Coat
1700 eur because I want that burberry trench
>>Jackets
400 eur but because of my finances I can only stick to sports jackets on sale
>>pants trousers jeans
Jeans probably my current max 160 eur for apc PS, I also bought wool collezioni trousers on 50% sale for 140
>> shirts t shirts
T shirts 50 eur, polos 270 a 280, but I would prob settle for around 120-140.
Casual and dress shirts between 90 and 180 euros. Depending on how much I like the piece

>>shoes
Alot, probably around 300, add another for 100 for (semi) formal wear

Pls tell me how to 200k a year

72k a year is good, but certainly not enough to flex that hard unless you live with your parents

Coats/Jackets
Somewhere in the 500 dollar range?
Shoes/sneakers/boots
Depends if they're timbs, j's, AF1's, etc but likely around 200-300
>Denim
200 max, usually raws hit that mark
>Sweaters
100 max, I usually wear hanes T-shirts and get them in packs
>hats gloves etc
20 for a pack of socks, 10 max for a pair of nice ones

I don't make money in salary terms, I'm a student so I earn cash here and there for odd jobs
