Straitcore??

Am i missing something? Could i wear stuff like this in public (more examples in thread). Whats it called? Like more psych core or somethibg?

Like its based of straitjackets but is there a trend or style thats more 'clinical' i guess? Where would you even buy stuff like this?

...

(This is a little porn-y but the next two examples should be more 'practical')

Like i could almost enviision myself wearing this but it idk... loses some of the heavy handed imagery?? Idk

Ok, so thats what ive got rn

Just wanted to point out how retarded you are...
Strait is a body of water, the word is straight

>straitjacket

haha

>not him

thanks but im a girl and thats implied by using only female examples lol

Sorta reminds me of this

good point i just said that out of habit. wish i could help you out on your question but i dont know shit
Cheers,

Why are you trying to categorize everything you see in cores and waves?

with tailored slacks this jacket could work.

Ok, how would I describe this stuff so I can talk about and find it then? Like right now I can't really describe it at all so idk if making a 'core' or not is the best way or most useful but it's better than nothing i guess

kek at filename

>Like right now I can't really describe it at all
Would you be so kind to do something for me? Write a paragraph about these questions:
How you came across these images?
Why do you like these images? Any specific elements?
What do they remind you off?
To what degree do you want to incorporate or are you incorporating it into your wardrobe?

I saw an image on tumblr that made me ask the question 'Is there such a thing as straitjacket fashion?' So I went to google images and typed in 'straitjacket fashion' and these were the first few results.

My favorite images are and . I like that they inspire the imagery of a mental ward, and the clinical feeling, while still being approachable in the sense I could wear them in a normal space. I like how big the form is, how the body is obscured, and the simple patterns of stitching. I also like to an extent, as a full outfit I think it is very ugly to have a thick padded top with only tights, but the top also reminds me of spacesuits a bit(??). The model looks like she is floating and I like the contrast between her pale skin and clothes and black socks and shoes.

These outfits remind me of mental health care and clinical hospital settings. My little sister was put in a psych ward for self harm and suicidal ideations and this reminds of her. Aesthetically some aspects remind of lunarcore outfits that are grey and white and industrial. The designs that drape down make the models look long and emaciated, which is not something 'safe' or typical to where but it has appeal to me. I like the colors where the outfit feels calm, and undemanding(??) As in the outfits don't demand much style or effort apart from wearing the clothes, little to know makeup, no posing, dead eyes.

I'd like to incorporate thoe big straight lines into my wardrobe, with clinical colors, and a calm but depressed feeling(??) about them. So I can look sad and composed, and clean and clinical.

Ok wow this was actually an incredibly useful exercise in and of itself

thanks!

this is a fencing jacket you dingus

How is your sister now?

She's doing OK, she doesn't cut anymore and she's doing well in her classes

Why wear clothes that carry such a negative connotation?
What is the clinical feeling?

Clinical is clean and calm, like you're in a hospital. I'm pretty depressed and edgy so I'd like to expand how dour my wardrobe is outside of all-black goth stuff.

Yeah, I was gonna say that this looks more like a fencing gambeson than anything.

I wish you the best of luck.

Yeah I don't fence, but yeah, I guess that's a bad example I guess

It looks like a harness.
A way of protection?
A way to create distance?
