I used to own a pair of Asics when I worked in a kitchen. It was mad comfy and grips the floor like virgin pussy lips, it died after I stopped wearing it, fuckin shriveled up.

Get a pair of 6in timberland boots in black.
If you want inserts, avoid gel materials and half-lengths styles. They are completely useless. You want a solid heel, arch support, and trim-to-fit length. I suggest Powerstep brand and will shill them to my dying breath. They've saved me hundreds of dollars that would have otherwise gone to a specialist and custom cast inserts.
Almost forgot. Get moleskin sheet for the balls of the feet to protect from splitting and blisters.
