Why was the Jewish people expelled so many times?

Why was the Jewish people expelled so many times?

Pure coincidence, goy

Christianity

Jews, having been banned from agriculture (95% of the world's economy) they were forced into "unsavory" professions such as banking (usury was forbidden by the Catholic church), and organized crime. Whenever Christians needed a scapegoat for issues the commoners did not understand, blaming the evil christkillers was always the easy thing to do the same way Donald Trump tells rednecks that all the problems with the U.S is due to nonwhites and nonchristians

Who the fuck made this map. Poland is way too far in the east. The Netherlands has now become the north of Germany. Hungary is atop of Croatia and Bosnia

Despised and detested population who ripped people off and caused the Black Plague. Also they killed the messiah thus proving their perfidy and justifying their explosion.

that's former Poland
Current Poland is Prussian territory

I think there's something really fucked up going with the inclination of the map. Look at the Black Sea.

What about Tunisia then

also they made people's babies into matzah and people were outraged because of how terrible matzah tastes. like if you're going to use babies to make something, at least make something good. that was the final straw, especially among the culinary minded french and italians.

>doesn't include russia
wew

they were too good at making money and helping each other out.

success breeds contempt

Usury was also banned by Islam. The fact that Jews managed to become wealthy despite the Islamic jizya meant to keep non muslims impoverished and subjugated did not sit well with muslim leaders

Never trust the Jewish people.

>Black Plague
I thought the Mongols did.

In times of desperation and death people tend to turn to extremist religious beliefs, it is only until very recent history that people look to the government to solve things such as plagues and natural disasters. Uneducated peasants in the middle ages tended to kill anything that wasn't Christian because they "must" be in league with satan

nah dude it was the jewish mountebanks from the pharmaceutical corporations who wanted to hawk their supposed cures

subtle

Prussia was on Polish grounds*

Fixed that for you

Such a smug, liberal poster, drenched in utter classism.

Racism is a cancer, so is the entire 'failed at life if you are working class' rhetoric.

Christianity banned loans with interest (usury) so only Jews could give bank loans and as we know, no one fucking likes bankers, they never have and they never will. Makes it very easy to expel bankers when they're all the same ethnic group.

To not repay that 300 gold debt of course.

jews were mentioned in the bible so they were tolerated unlike pagans

there were few rural jews because a jew who found himself a serf would likely convert to escape poverty, only those with more flexible professions in urban areas connected to trade routes remained jewish over generations, so they were easy to expel

Do you actually have anything to refute my points or are you trying to insert your personal 21st century politics into the medieval world

except rural jews in eastern europe of course who resettled abandoned land

(((())))

>or are you trying to insert your personal 21st century politics into the medieval world
>Made snide remarks about Donald Trump and BNP in his post

to be fair, there were no large regulated banking institutions during the middle ages. Money lending to the average person was more akin to payday loans and pawnshops

Blaming "those people who look different" has been done since the beginning to time. Trump is hardly the first demagogue and won't be the last

Christians aren't the only religion to persecute another religion.

They aren't, but persecution takes a giant leap when it comes down to "people of your religion are responsible for the death of my lord and savior"

>kek

>silesia reaching out that far east
>poland in belarus
>lithuania being latvia and estonia

2/10

>muh Christianity

People have been speaking out against Jews since the Persian Empire, maybe earlier

The High Middle Ages in Western Europe were the age of the rise of the bourgeoisie. This ambitious group was in economical competition with the Jews therefore they often exploited opportunities to expel them. In Eastern Europe and in the Ottoman Empire the bourgeoisie was weaker, hence no expulsions during the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period.

Expelling the jews was a political meme

>Jews were forced into positions of wealth and power by a worldwide conspiracy to exclude them from the rural peasantry

Medieval economics were just like modern economics

Nah it's just that Jews have no moral compass and will do any shit that gets them ahead.

Also nice quads

>Boy this banking thing sucks ass, why can't I be a farmer and do backbreaking labor all day?

>implying people had your 21st century attitude towards farming
>implying farming had modern efficiency with pesticides and GMO's during the middle ages
>implying medieval money lending was any more glorious than a payday lender with your customers most likely not being able to pay you back at all

Lol, how did he imply any of those things?

...

>who look different
>implying it's simply based on appearance

>why do theocratic states persecute non-believers

>nazi germany
>theocratic

really makes you think

didnt stop them from conspiring to fuck over the goy

People love borrowing and spending money. They also hate paying it back.

Pretty much everything else is memes.

yeah but what happened in egypt?

either everyone in the world is a racist/anti-semitic

or

only the asshole ones who didn't want to integrate with the locals got expelled for beeing assholes

they all went to Poland. The PLC was in reality a Jewish oligarchy.

poland was on kievan rus land

Fixed that for you

You are forgetting the Knights Templar, which had loaned so much money to the French king that he decided to destroy them so he didn't have to pay anything back. I think that the same line of reasoning can be used for the question of why the Jews were so often expelled. Together with just being weird and isolationist in nature (Jews where I live had their own language until the second world war), which did not endear them to the native populations, which were not as multiculturally inclined as nowadays.

It was conquered by Charles V of the HRE and I of Spain, exactly in 1535. Coincidence?

Jews were used as bankers for the ruling elites, and when those elites couldn't afford to pay them back, it was easier to just rouse a mob and drive the Jews out.

But the templars were not expulsed from England and Aragon while the jews were.

Because unlike the Jews, they didn't survive being "expelled" by the French. Also unlike the Jews, they didn't act as bankers for the rulers in England and Aragon, and in fact would have preferred not to do so for the French king but ofc their main holdings were in France so that was unavoidable.

If you you meet an asshole one day, you've met an asshole.

If you meet an asshole every day, you're the asshole.

literally Hitler

Why were the Roma?

antisemitism, obviously :^)

only nerds will get this
