I just don't fucking know anymore. Having a personal God would be great, and Catholicism really helped pull me out of a degenerate lifestyle, but I don't know if I can believe it. So many of the traditions of the Catholic Church have absolutely no basis in Scripture, and the Church nowadays is becoming more and more liberal, and even Globalist. I cannot believe in Protestantism, it is just too bland and basically implies that the majority of Christians got it wrong for 1500 years. I am not a slav or greek so Orthodoxy is out of the question. I don't know what to believe Veeky Forums, and pretty much the only thing that keeps me going to Church is fear of being damned, but it is so frustrating when almost nobody there adheres to even the most basic of Catholic doctrines, too. I go to confession, and see maybe 5-10 people, then in mass every single person goes up and gets communion. I am tired Veeky Forums, I am tired of needing to go to confession every single time I slip up and fap or slip up, tired of seeing the Church promote essential globalism, and protestantism is no better. What am I to do? I don't know what to believe in, but with out a solid belief system I fear I will slip back in to the degenerate ways of my past, and even though I barely believe in Catholicism, I fear to leave it because on the chance that it is true, I would be damned. I also really enjoy Catholic authors like Tolkien, and I feel like the books would lose their magic if I wasn't Catholic anymore. What do, Veeky Forums?

First of all, if you masturbate regularly and then confess yourself, your confession in Roman Catholic doctrine is invalidated. The Roman Catholic Church temds to be very Human-Centric. I.e., you must confess to a priest, you must be blessed by a father, etc, etc. However, scripturally, If I'm not mistaken, we are supposed to have a personal relationship with God/Jesus himself, not through man. Like, we can have a personal relationship with him without needing to go THROUGH a priest. I still confess my sins, but to Him, through prayer, not through another man.
