Obviously makeup usually makes people look better, but i find it very attractive when lasses don't wear makeup. I feel like it shows that they are secure in themselves, which, personally, is an attractive trait.

It's a shame when a naturally gorgeous woman covers up her good fortune, but that's rarely the case. Most women do look better with makeup; the problem is, most women don't actually know how to do makeup. It's the same way that most people can't dress themselves and just wear whatever is popular.
the makeup barely does anything in person. If we use a 1 to 10 scale in person appereance is improved at most a point (and only in the 5-6 range). The less average you are the less of an effect makeup has, if not even a negative effect. a 9/10 probably won't improve at all with makeup, and if done improperly it makes her

On the right shes mid talking in bad lighting, of course she'll look bad. In reality she actually has a very clear and bright complexion. Of course her eyebrows and lashes are light, but she's blonde.

She'd still have a lighter-looking complexion on the right if her hair was as brightly blonde as on the left. That said, it's red carpet makeup - it has to be overdone so people look flawless in promo pics and in magazines. Brighter lashes are easily covered with mascara and the eyebrows have to be re-drawn onto her face anyway, even if she had big bushy ones - the foundation and concealer layers are so thick, you would hardly see them at all if they wouldn't paint them.

This is so true. For work I wear foundation and concealer. I think most people don't think I'm wearing makeup at all. I always wear it though because I have shitty acne scars. Some girls are pretty without makeup but makeup can improve most people in some way.

I feel pretty whatever about makeup, interesting sometimes, shitty other times. For real though the one true thing people should be worrying about is skin care ffs. Foundation is such a fucked thing, it makes people lazy as hell, they don’t take care of their skin because they know they can just cover it all up but if you just fucking take care of your skin on a daily basis the average person looks leagues better: brighter skin, even coloration, less wrinkles etc. foundation is only needed when you have problems that cannot be fixed by proper matinence (acne scars, extra pigmentation, that sort of thing)
As a general rule, yeah. Makeup exists specifically to make people look better.
The problem is that a lot of women are pushing for this weird instagram dragqueen/theatrical makeup look, and a lot of men who don't know any better are believing that is an accurate baseline for what 'makeup' means.
Like 99% of women wear some kind of BB cream or foundation at the bare minimum - something which doesn't inherently change their appearance, but enhances it. This still qualifies as makeup.

This is true. If your issue is shitty skin, heavy makeup and foundation is probably making it WORSE. Cut that shit out and get it clear, then you won't need the foundation.
I usually only wear a BB cream to cover old acne scars that are slowly fading, but decided to wear full foundation last night because I was going out. I couldn't get over how uncomfortable it was just to feel that layer on my face. No idea how some people wear full-face all day every day.
