If you're good, the life is really amazing.

Wow. The Bantz are real.

I love Tony. Him and Hellmuth make poker great.

>Tony G
>Australian
Checks out

Study Tom Dwan also known as (durrrr), and Phil Ivey. Watch all the Poker After Dark episodes. You'll learn alot about cash game.

>one player who lost 21m in one session
>one player who has to cheat casinos out of their money

Okay, guy.

Eveyone loses money in the game at some point, please tell me who cheated casinos to win money out of the two?

Phil. He's been sued every time, too.

But Dwan not only lost everything he had, but he went deep in the red. There was a lot of rumors he was killed for it, but those were debunked.

Yeah, Ivey got in trouble for cheating in London. Something about taking advantage of imperfections in the backs of the cards.

Tom Dwan was a risky bluffer in very high stakes cash games, bluffing is his play style. Very risky. And source on Phil Ivey please? He is extremely talented in all sorts of poker, especially no limit hold 'em. He wouldn't give the time of day to cheat a casino, I've watched him play for years. He has no incentive to cheat.

Dwan was just a luckbox utilizing small sample size to build a brand for himself. (which never took off)

Phil is a talentless hack nowadays getting #rekt by fish.

Why do you think all the greats from the early 2000s are now considered fish? EVEN ISILDUR IS CONSIDERED A BAD REG NOW

Bump

Why?

It's poker, faggot. You can't win them all. The greats from the 1980s until the 2000s are still considered greats. Negreanu and Antonius are still greats. What are you talking about?

Yeah that Phil Ivey dindu nuffin wrong, did he?

go to www.twoplustwo.com, and read their forums

It's definitely possible, but you need to be willing to study for 2 weeks 8hrs a day before you start, then you need to be willing to work 8+ hr days + come home and study/think/discuss the hands you played -- In other words, you would likely be spending 55+ hrs a week playing/studying, and not many can handle the mental stress.

I forgot to add, unless you can play online, you cannot expect to make more than $50/hr unless you have an absurdly high level of skill/intelligence/work ethic.

I don't think he did. But if a player requests a new deck, you must play a new deck. If no cards can be created symetrically, how can you possibly tell which card is which by edge sorting?

Negraunu is the only Great that actually works on his game. I think maybe esfadiari does too, but the rest of them are fish. They've all been drained of their playing money. There's actually a documentary on youtube that shows the people hunting the giga whales.

>you cant win em all

Sure, but over the long run, you win.

>ever visiting 2+2

I was ip banned for saying that white people aren't inherently racist, and labeled a conspiratard for that. Most toxic fucking forums I've ever seen.

I don't know why you're discussing that on there, but I've never experienced anything negative over 2k+ posts.

they have threads dedicated to doxxing people they dont agree with
its actually kinda scary

Hehe.. /pol/. Not even once.

Negreanu is a great. Super smart guy. But he overthinks alot and misses pots he could've destroyed peolple on. Esfandiari is also a great player. But their play style is more tourney than cash game imo. But people like Ivey who I've seen contemplate a call with ducks against a huge bluff from Dwan with nothing in his and and about 1.2m in the pot is just amazing to me. The fact that phil even thought about calling him and played him to the river blows my mind.

>sure, but over the long run, you win.

That he has

Also, hunting the old heads, poker is not what it was 36 years ago. Online play has changed the way people play completely.
