that's very surprising. i've been in 4 math departments in quite different places and every single one was just ill-fitting t-shirts and even more ill-fitting jeans.

Bachelor in fine arts is what I'm doing and it's pretty effay. I've noticed by department/major decides how effay Painting and sculpture have the most interesting art and fits but illustration and graphic design tends to have a lot of weebs. If you're good then you have the potential to live comfortably off your creations/ go to art residencies all over the world and travel for free essentially. The trick is it's probably the hardest thing to succeed at because there aren't quantifiable metrics for art anymore.
