Fin users, is it normal to have a lot of shedding but also see some regrowth?

Pic related is me as of the other night, close to 3 months on fin, and I'm definitely starting to see some minor regrowth but I also seem to be shedding a lot, still. Is this normal?

I've heard of people hitting a big shed a few weeks/months into using it and having it temporarily get thinner but I'm not sure exactly how it's all supposed to happen.

JUST

It actually doesn't look so bad when it's not pulled back, though.

I do need it cut though. No, I'm not buzzing it.

>not researching fin before using it

>Is this normal?

Yes, it's a sign that it is working. The hair follicles that have been shrunk by dht and binded to them (shrinking and later killing them) shed and are replaced with normal hair growth as dht production is now lowered or disappears due to finsteride stopping the conversion of testosterone to dht.

So in reality you are pretty much a textbook case of a fin user and everything is on track.

FUCK

I researched it pretty extensively before starting. I just wasn't sure what course is normal, I've heard mixed things about when to see sheds/regrowth. I've heard some say regrowth as early as 4 months is common but other say it's impossible until a year in.

Pic related is from two months ago, when I was at one month.

>I've heard mixed things about when to see sheds/regrowth. I've heard some say regrowth as early as 4 months is common but other say it's impossible until a year in.

The vast majority of fin users use it and then get on with life so internet reports are always to be taken as the rarer cases. 3-6 months is a normal shedding phase and 6 months plus a growing phase with the max at a year plus to see if it is working.

Of course as above, there are exceptions to the rule. The 2st pic does indicate regrowth compared to this one. It's possible the hairs that were only slightly affected by dht are growing while those that were in a dying phase due to dht are shedding to regrow back later.

The 1st pic****

I've seen some people who use it and maybe get slightly worse one year in. I've also started dermarolling since I want regrowth to be more certain/faster but I don't want to fuck around with minox for the rest of my life.

I'm definitely seeing new growth in my thin spots. It started out as just some vellus hairs around 3 weeks, but now I see a lot of thick brown ones popping up. When I rub my thin spots, it also feels like there's a bit of stubble.

Trim the sides to 0.6 cm and cut the top to 4-5 cm. Use quality schampoo only every second or third day and donĀ“t use hairdryer. Apply quality oil-hair-mouisturizer once a week and use conditioner after schampoo and let it do the work. Stop drinking Soda. Drink 3 liters of plain water every day and take biotin-vitamines. Vitamin D will also help you a lot.

>Stop drinking Soda
I rarely drink it

>biotin
Is that not just a meme? I know it won't stop hair loss but I've heard mixed things if it makes hair healthier

>Vitamin D
I'm probably deficient in it because of the climate I'm in

>biotin
For some it works (like for me) and for some it does absolutely nothing.
I take bioting since im 16 and i am now 20. Have super healthy hair with my routine. Get a decent amount of compliments for my hair.

>I've seen some people who use it and maybe get slightly worse one year in.

Hair is unpredictable, even those who specialize in hair/transplants can't make definitive answers. For a large percentage yours seems pretty normal though. It appears to be working so all is good.

>I've also started dermarolling

Each to their own but I don't have faith in this if you know how hair loss occurs. Dermarolling is simply to increase blood flow to the scalp but that's not why hair loss is occurring and minox it's not clear why it works but it can penetrate the skin to the follicle which dermarolling doesn't do.

Just check progress in another 2 months or so

With all due respect this is all pseudo-science not backed up by anything. No hair specialists tell you things like this. Male pattern baldness is caused by the conversation of testosterone to dht that binds to hair follicles that are susceptible to it while some people have dht resistant follicles.

The only way we can reverse or stop male pattern balding is lowering or eradicating the dht.

People that are starving to death are not balding, vitamin deficiency plays very little affect (none) on hair growth and loss.

People apply this pseudo-science like take multivitamins to make your hair grow faster which is all nonsense and hair growth rate is determined by genetics.

>fin users
your hair's probably not coming back buddy. do you really want to take a testosterone blocker and chance it? hit the gym instead

this. Don't fuck up your hormones and sex life to MAINTAIN a hairline. buzz it and move on.

>sex life
lol

My dick still works just fine though. In fact I WISH it lowered my sex drive. Also it's not a test blocker but a DHT blocker

t. guys who have full heads of hair and don't understand

Dude, just shave it. That is awful.

I have the exact same hairline as OP, probably a little worse because I'm most likely older than he is. It's not a big deal at all.

any prostatitis?
Nah senpai i just buzzed mine cause my hairline is fucking up

Just shave your head and own it. Bald looks better than balding, and I don't think it's coming back m8

See

Fin shrinks the prostate dude, the 5 mg dose is for BPH

hot shit, I'm on the wrong side.

You're losing it, you might be able to hide it a bit for now but you'll eventually need to buzz.

Avodart (dutasteride) is also a DHT blocker like fin, just stronger. It's given for the same things.

Read the fucking thread. Look at It used to be worse

no i literally just did what i told you. full buz and working out

>Read the fucking thread
>It used to be worse
