Life lessons you learned from you first job

Life lessons you learned from you first job

>employment and niggers are incompatiable
>employment and faggots are synonymous with drama

>Cook at a local burger joint
>Employing more than one woman is a recipe for disaster, the two or more women invariably find a way to hate eachother and stir shit up out of nowhere constantly
>Black people are the absolute worst patrons in the service industry, bar none
>The most lasting memory from that job was no doubt don't put knives in soapy dishwater.....STUPID

I'm a dish washer and I don't even fill up the tubs. I'm usually doing a load ever 20 mins.

>more work =/= more reward
>smart work > mindless work
>everybody is replaceable, EVERYBODY !
>low wage with friends > high wage in soul sucking job
>friends are very good investment as long they dont bring you down
>happiness as a goal is retarded , you can be happy playing video games but never always happy
>dont enforce your opinons on others, let everyone do what they want as long they dont effect you
>you are free to do whateve you want as long you dont hurt anyone or break the law
>women are great in multi-manging assets but not people
>you aren't always right, you learn alot if you just open your mind and listen to other people

i loved working in the family aluminum kitchen workshop

>OP is always a faggot

I had to wash dishes at a kid at that burger joint, we'd have a soap tub we'd throw the greasy shit in to just go ahead and loosen shit up. i made a "side tub" for the knives later on after I cut myself pretty good once reaching into soapy water. Ahh, to be a kid again.

>Life lessons in my most recent job at 35

Injuns are greedy fuckers and when it's your job to manage ~5 million dollars worth the natural resources for them, they are some blood thirsty fucks that would scorch the earth if given the chance.

cart pusher at walmart
>no matter how hard you work your bosses will still talk down to you
>you will always be paid 3/4 of what you deserve
>working at walmart is always shit
>your company will tell you that youre worthless either overtly or covertly, if this were true they wouldnt have hired you

>don't volunteer
>don't work yourself to death
>take it easy
>working smart > working hard
>don't stress over the small, or even big, shit
>a well-liked employee can do no wrong and a despised employee can do no right
>high-level managers are extremely full of shit
>high-level managers will believe they are smarter than lower level peons.

Forgot something.
>greater responsibly without greater pay is a bad deal

>If you do not ask, again and again, for something you want/need, you will never get it.

>a well-liked employee can do no wrong and a despised employee can do no right

i disagree ,, you can be well-liked all you want but unless you know how to do your job right you getting the can

>"he is a very nice guy but he isn't that good"

>if the company could pay you less, they would

>you'll never be done with the work they give you because they are always trying to give you the work of 3 people so it doesn't really matter if you don't finish

>always try to work with Mexicans since they are the most hardworking mother fuckers

>never admit you did something wrong, if someone questions you about the thing pretend you have no idea. They have no way of knowing if there are at least 10 people working in the shift.

>most of management are dicks trying to move up throwing others under the bus, try to find the few good ones who are hard workers and make them be on your side.

>some people are really fucking dumb, and okay with it

Guess you never sucked up to management, that or you're ugly.

This. So true

>3/4 of what you deserve
Far worse than that.

As a manager:

> be tough in the beginning and nice in the long run
> Don't expect perfect work
> Don't befriend an employee
> never make things personal, always make criticism about the work
> undersell the job when you give it to them, tell them it's tough and not fun. Then when they do it, they'll feel better about it.

>Just because a company is hiring people does not mean that they have work for them to do.
That was so counter-intuitive that I had to relearn it a decade later.

Nepotism is a hell of a thing. I wans't hired through nepotism but maybe half the kids who worked there were kids of friends of the GM. Even if they were spoiled brat retards the boss never hurt their feelings

Another thing I learned was extremely real: Napoleon Complex.

If you actually care about your job people will hate you for working hard

Geniune friendliness, even if not reciprocated, will be appreciated and you'll be better off in the company for it, at least in the eyes of your boss and coworkers
>applies to both customers and coworkers.

Mexicans are pretty good workers and usually friendly.
Fat women are shit teir workers in general and awful coworkers to have.
Government regulations sure may make you feel safe, but no one in the industry follows them.

you want to be a manager? forget about hard working or smart working just suck manager dicks. they dont care about the best numbers or if you are a genius or you are productive they will choose the fucking retarded lazy asshole that sucked their dicks (I hate this fucking world)

when the company is laying off nobody is your friend, everything that you said will be use against you, remember to suck dicks.

if you dont succed keep sucking until you suck seed.

Do you still work for others or do you have your own business? I'm curious considering your rage.

Don't do more than you have to for clients.
Don't come in on the weekend without agreed overtime (didn't do it but saw it happen) or they will expect it all the time.
Don't get involved in the bitching with other co workers. Who cares if your boss is a bit of a cunt.
The boss is not your mate.

Excellence will not be rewarded
Management is in most cases less competent than base workers
The reason why management is not respected by base is because they are mba ´professionnal managers'
You cannot trust HR

If you are working a low-skill service job believe me you are worth 1/4th of what you are being paid. If it werent for the social need for jobbies for every tard with no real contribution to society most of your would be replaced by some form of innovation or another.

You only get to work at wal-mart because making bank without hiring enough people is a PR nightmare.

>Life lessons you learned from you first job
Finish college

>The company is not going to survive if all the workers are fucking around at work
>Don't snitch
>Women are treated much better than men

What makes you think you deserve more than what you make?

Is there a global demand for skill-less physical object pushers?

The only obstacle to your job is a pulse.
I've seen people with mental disabilities working at Walmart in the carts.

I can't really apply a little quote or guidance to this but here's a fun little situation I dealt with

>Work at struggling fast food restaurant at 17
>No fucking investment, registers were 10 years old. Mcdonalds down the street was way more popular.
>peak hours there are 3 or 4 groups of people in the restaurant
>there are days where the restaurant is empty at 1pm
>bosses have to keep the place staffed just in case actual people come in
>on slow days we used to just circle up and chat by the drive through window
>certain bosses throw a hissyfit if you're not working while being paid
>depending on what manager was their that day I could be doing nothing sipping mountain dew or scrubbing things that are already clean just to be working

These low tier jobs are what scare me into working on mt career. They are filled with peasants that take their jizzrag job super seriously and try to find problems of other employees to extort them. I really hope I can just make a few hundred grand and then retire trading securities and running a foster home or something.

>I'm great manipulating people and everyone has a weakness.
>I love spreading rumors and seeing people start drama with each other
>I'm horrible at keeping secrets and therefore everyone hates me for spreading rumors
>Managers are fallible and are not gods, therefore being a submissive cuck is a no no.
>women don't like submissive sucks and people who spread rumors

>he didnt learn not to snitch by 5th grade, unless you are being extorted or fired for knowing too much
If your company can get fined for violations, talk to the guy first and then talk to management if it keeps happening.

I worked as a cashier at a grocery store during my teen years. Only literal retards/autists/spergs were the cart pushers.

Only literal retards worked at grocery stores and big box stores instead of little family owned joints desu

Actually? You know what, only retards worked. Unless your family was dirt fucking poor you have no use for 7$/hour. Real winners were learning and getting good at an actual skill during their teenage years. I only did it because I didn't have any friends and was pissing away all my time playing video games.

Fuck you.

I've learned that I am a business man, even if I don't have my own business. I have to market myself the best way I can (in proportion to the situation I am in).

> worked as a barkeeper while school
> When the restaurant was emptying out and I had almost nothing to do I told my boss (who was there ever evening) that I'm going to leave now cause there is nothing to do.
> He was always okay with it
> One day I realised that this is the most stupid thing that I could possibly do.
> Why would I trow away paid time where I was allowed to browse Facebook while I had nothing to do? It also anyways was late night so I could not really do something else.
From this day on I always waited for my boss to tell me that I could leave. This got me at least 30 minutes paid time per day, and not really more work to do.

Don't quit your job unless you have something else lined up.

I always ask myself is there anything better i could be doing besides working making money? The answer is usually no. I will always work overtime when i can 10-20 hrs a week while my coworkers never do. Maybe its a sign i have no life, but its all worth it when i get that big paycheck

how long have you been doing that? it's easy to burn out

>It's better to be well liked than useful. Say hello to people. Bake stuff from time to time and share it with your coworkers. Nod your head and smile whenever someone wants to ramble about their dog or whatever, share some stories about your own no matter how banal.
>Don't be a source of problems. Be the person everyone runs to when a problem happens. This sounds trite but it's very simple: Don't do risky things. Anything that requires creativity, haste, or customer service is risky and those tasks should be left for someone else if possible... until they go wrong and then you should be all over them being the most helpful fucker in the room.
>Almost no one cares when you do a good job. If you are lucky, your boss or your customers might notice. Keep track of who notices and make sure to reinforce the perception. They will be your allies when shit hits the fan. If you are unlucky and neither one notices start looking for somewhere else to move to, either within the company or at another. You are going nowhere where you are at.
>Never do work for free. This includes but is not limited to: Coming in on the weekend, covering for another person, working past quitting time on a regular basis, eat lunch at your desk, taking on extra responsibilities, etc. This excludes on-call periods if you work in a field where being on call is normal but don't be on call more often than anyone else.
>The company will take everything you give to it. Moderate your giving. Remember that you are trading your time, your fucks, and your experience for money.
>Anyone can be replaced. Never do something that could be done cheaper by a less skilled person. Make it a point to familiarize yourself with how skilled the cheaper people are. If you are the cheapest person (minimum wage) that means watch the robots and the retards and make sure you are always doing better than that.

>liberals are shit at real jobs
>this is why they get into news

Just two months or so. I usually limit it to two hours of overtime a day. It does get tiring but might as well make it while i can. Saving up for a nice vacation

>I hate this fucking world

Me too, user. Me too.

yeah it can be nice
I worked in a job where I got in at 0415 and left at like 8pm-ish; there were three half hour breaks and only one of them was off the clock, so you were getting 16 hours every day and could work as much as you wanted
so in a pay period the guys who worked minimum wage were making 2k, let alone the people higher up making up to 3k

but holy shit that gets tiring after while lol

>Injuns are greedy fuckers and when it's your job to manage ~5 million dollars worth the natural resources for them, they are some blood thirsty fucks that would scorch the earth if given the chance.

People always mistake them for tree hugger and mother earth shits but the only reason they didn't pollute the shit out of america or kill all the wildlife was because they didn't have the technology to do so.

>People who complain about what they make are never worth more than what they're making
>Always greet coworkers by name once a day

white people do the same thing though and in some places whites are fighting to be able to extract resources from indian territory, which is total bullshit if you ask me

I have family who have valuable native american land; they were simply told "there are resources on your land used for xyz nuclear reactor function, we will do no damage to your land but would pay you for the ability to extract those resources"
and no damage was done
not the same as what whites have allowed (see: West Virginia)

>black people are lazy and worthless, have no empathy for others, and want to get paid to sit on their ass on their phone
>people will find an excuse to bitch about anything just to feel powerful for a moment

>>if the company could pay you less, they would

Eternally this.

>Government regulations sure may make you feel safe, but no one in the industry follows them.

This.

Go study the average white neighborhood, even the poor ones, and then go take a look at the average Indian reservation. I'll let you figure out which one is more fucked up and shitty.

The natives are fuckin savage animals, they get incredible amounts of gibs from the BIA and their own tax free casinos and all they do is trash their own land and do drugs. Go spend a day on the res and then suck some native dick after you see the willful squalor they subject themselves to.

my family is in a tribe; if proposed changes are made to federal blood quantum laws, I'll be in the tribe too
the people on the res here are no less trashy as white people in surrounding rural areas....they're all heroin addicts and hustlers

Utility person
>people will always find inventive ways to make messes
>people will always be inconsiderate except when they are aware of your presence
>workplace drama will always exist
>getting sick from handling garbage is not worth minimum wage
>a firm handshake and a smile will take you farther than hard work

Never ever am I working anything directly end-customer related.
People are just too stupid for the most basic things and you have to deal with those fuckers.

Fuck customer service
Fuck cash desk work
and mostly FUCK working at any kind of helpdesk!

i thought that was a thumbnail of a big city with a fancy sports stadium and a big cathedral.

>Napoleon Complex.
It's even worse in women who already think they have something to prove

Hard work doesn't mean shit unless your work is part of a project. Don't work harder or faster at a job that's menial or factory like.

First job was a pharmacy tech. Never got recognised even when I wrote an entirely new SOP.

People pay more to give blow jobs then to receive them
