Iranian ethnic group living in the mountains of Anatolia, Northern Iraq, and Iran

Saladin was one

They're currently fighting for independence in a few places but nobody wants to give up clay despite having wildly incompatible cultures

They're in Pakistan too.

Wait, Saladin was one? Wasn't he Kurdish?

Descendants of Alexander's army, mostly converted to Pisslam by now sadly but there are still a handful of valleys that keep the old Hellenic faith.

He's an idiot who confused the Kalash with the Kurds. Also, afaik they're only found in Afghanistan.

Hunza Valley in Pakistan has a small population of Kalash too.

Muslim or pagan Kalash?

Pagan

Good for them. Too bad they're doomed, frankly it's amazing they've lasted this long given the rise of radical Islamism in the region.

Got a documentary for you

they're mostly pagans, they're like the original hindus and not the poo in loo variety

funny story, the kalash welcome christians into their home because they believe that christians too are fellow pagans like them as they see christianity as a pagan religion (trinity) rather than one that believes in one god

That is the Kurds m8
The Kalashnikov Iive in pakistan

Great movie, one of my favourites.

Not exactly a documentary, Rudyard Kipling knew a lot about India but his only information about the Nuristan were rumours.

Wrong. The kalash neither claim such origins nor does genetic research back up the claim (made primarily by westerners).

Complete idiocy, this particularly triggers me because the Kalash have such a unique autosomal admixture and ancient ydna subclades.

From what I gather, they are an indo-european people in Pakistan who have little Dravidian or Turko-Mongol admixture. I don't know the perfect details of who they are though

Explain this more please

The Kalash have a unique genetic admixture all their own

>radical Islamism
Just say radical Islam. Islam is already an ideology you don't need to tack on "ism".

The Kalash have particularly old ydna subclades not found anywhere else on the planet. Haplogroup R* is found at a rate of over 6 percent in the Kalash populatio, it is basal to all other R subclades and is the same haplogroup found in a 24000 year old specimen found in Siberia which is incredible. They also have a unique genetic admixture that distinguishes them from neighboring groups and suggests a fairly old and homogeneous population. No single other ethnic group in the world has an autosomal admixure as unique as they do. That's why it's a fucking travesty when people go around spewing the "alexanders army" bullshit

meme people

Oh my very interesting. Siberian hunters then?

One of the few remants of the original indo-european inhabitants of Central Asia.

Makes you onder if there will be a "Kalash people" in Europe in the future

They're descendants of pre-vedic aryan religion. I'm not sure if Hinduism would be an appropriate term.

/pol/ pls go

Remains of the preserved Indo-European culture that was never invaded by Arabs, Turks, or Mongols

Cuck detected

No, not at all. Absolutely nothing to do with modern siberian people

>has to resort to random accusations of holding political views with no bearing on discussion at hand
Yup. /pol/tard confirmed. What gives it away isn't the right wing views, but the rampant paranoia and general intellectual deficiency.

Stop shitposting in a thread where people are getting actual answers, you dont have to scream /pol/ at every post and derail threads with political nonsense

Go back to your safe space Muhammad

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalash_people

>The men must be divided into two parties: the pure ones have to sing the well-honored songs of the past, but the impure sing wild, passionate, and obscene songs, with an altogether different rhythm. This is accompanied by a 'sex change': men dress as women, women as men (Balumain also is partly seen as female and can change between both forms at will).[17]

>At this crucial moment the pure get weaker, and the impure try to take hold of the (very pure) boys, pretend to mount them "like a hornless ram", and proceed in snake procession. At this point, the impure men resist and fight. When the "nagayrō" song with the response "han sarías" (from *samrīyate 'flows together', CDIAL 12995) is voiced, Balumain showers all his blessings and disappears. He gives his blessings to seven boys (representing the mythical seven of the eight Devalog who received him on arrival), and these pass the blessings on to all pure men.[17]

Dafuq is going on here?

>Makes you onder if there will be a "Kalash people" in Europe in the future

So this isn't shitposting?

>implying /pol/ isn't the safest of spaces where other opinions aren't shouted down

Some guy with a similar name made one of the most "common" firearms on earth

It's an obvious joke joke commenting on the low native birth rates and high foreign immigration rates in europe meant to be appreciated by those to the right of the political spectrum or anyone else wh cares. If you dont like it, dont reply. There is no need to derail the thread because of it

An odd but fascinating cultural celebration

/pol/ tolerates reasoned (using facts, logic, evidence, and history) debate all the time, which is why the left wing doesn't venture over there too often. The diversity of opinions range from An-cap, Fascist, National Socialist, paleoconservative, neoconservative, etc. So it's not an echo-chamber like reddit

The person who posted that is chimping out with pol memes right now. Telling retards to leave is courtesy, not derailing.

>/pol/ tolerates reasoned (using facts, logic, evidence, and history
I 8 the b8 hard didn't I?

>old Hellenic faith.
They're Vedic polytheists.

>radical Islam
Just say Islam. Islam is already radical.

Stop derailing the thread you two.

not that guy, why do you find that so hard to concieve? I go there and partake in all forms of debate. It challenges you rather than confirms what you think you already know.

Kalash. Do you think they should be a protected group? Or is that just patronizing them?

Dardic ethnic group closely related to the Nuristanis of Afghanistan. They practice an ancient religion related to Hinduism. Believed to be descendants of Alexander's army due to many of them having fair features but this has been proven to be false.

They are quite interesting and it's sad that their numbers are small.

No fucking that blonde girl is a Pakistani. That's shopped.

Believe it brother. I even found some blondes from India, that shit is super rare though, although most of them don't look like they'd be able to fit in Europe

>don't look like they'd be able to fit in Europe

Kek, I meant as in looking like native European.

For example this blonde Indian boy doesn't look European

they make great halav khalash

Eh, looks like some German fag with a tan. Give him a tight sweater and a laptop to make shitty house music on and he would be indistinguishable from
Any other German.

Aren't these people Iranic or related to Iranics?

Or am I mistaking these guys with Pamiris?

They're Dardic. You're probably confusing them with the Pamiris because those people also have more light features and live in mountains

They are an aryan remnant of alexander the greats' army

Also read March of the titans, great book right there

Remind me: Do we have any examples of ancient greek DNA, for you to be so sure they don't have it?
