Mr. user, your resume IS impressive

>just one thing...
>we couldn't find any social media accounts in your name. Care to explain?
What do you say

this doesn't happen

I have a short position on Facebook

I was ask this question during a phone interview. Told the lady I do not engage in social media because of privacy concerns. She suggested I get linknd and did not offer me a job

do they run on gentoo???

I've always wondered if this would happen, but it hasn't yet.

Do employers actually bring this up? I'm sure they'll look into this during the screening process.

I have a pof and tinder bby want sum fuk

I only have an instagram. I use it for fun videos me and my roommate make mainly. Have a few thousand followers, know maybe 20 of them.

I focus my time on whats important in life. Social media is not on my list of what is important. Doing good at my job is what is important to me.

What was the position you were applying for?

social media director of microsoft

"I find that it's easier to maintain self-discipline and focus without having those distract me."

This is especially good if you're working at an office where your coworkers are probably fucking around on plebbook all day.

Also,
>working for other people
lmao

>I have nothing against Facebook or whatever, it's just that I don't think I would ever use a social media account if I had one. If I want to reach somebody, I'll have their phone and email anyways. What else do I need?

It just proves I focus on my work.

>well I do have a tumblr but I only use it to follow furry porn artists

>well I have a snapchat but I only use it to flirt with the underage girls that I meet in my retail job

Have no social media accounts
Just landed my dream job at 20 w/ no degree
Fuck. Yes.

Are you trolling?
I think working for MS would be akin to selling your soul, a compartmentalized hierarchical spook shop and the epitome of modern enterprise datamining operations.

If you had no social media account for such a job it would be like a Jew in WW2 applying for an oven job, then again many did for the chance to survive a bit longer and small rewards. People will do anything to survive.

T-that is oddly specific to me

>no degree
>dream job

do tell

When i got my job they told me to delete all of my social media accts..

You do realize that isn't , right? Pretty sure he was just being facetious for chuckles.

Security clearance?

I had an interview for a position like that. The job description didn't even match what the position was even about. I had to decline because I'm not into social media at all. Tbh I thought those positions were fairy tales so I was pretty surprised. I'm not even mad about the bait and switch.

> during interview

"Yea I tend to avoid that sort of thing"

> after I start

To some coworkers: "Sure I'm on social media, I'm xxxxx"

To all others "hi here's an email response to your email question"

I'm well hidden. Popular-ish on LinkedIn but that's it. I'm so well hidden even my birth certificate is a proxy.

everyone i know lives within walking distance

Take another look, I added my GitHub URL at the bottom of my resume.

giving out social media accounts to clients was considered a huge break in professional boundaries, since I don't like to be awkward about refusing ANY sort of friend request I have just decided to delete my social media accounts.

> As a procurement specialist I don't like being stalked and harassed by salesperson

Belive me being on a marketing list is a pain in the ass

I do have Social Medias such as whatsapp to keep in touch with people I know or linkedin for the professional aspect. However, I consider FB/Twitter to be a huge waste of time on a personal level, I am too busy to keep them updated and having one without using it extensively would just be confusing for others.

I don't mind having/using social medias such as FB or twitter on a strictly professional level if necessary though.

Things that never happen

"Can I fuck ur face?"
