Are you buying Pokemon stocks?

Are you buying Pokemon stocks?

nintendo

*Closes porn tabs*

Yeah...YEAH! Nintendo, woo.

What stock is that

Nintendo?

Yeah it's not on robin meme the only way I can buy and trade stocks

not touching that cancer even for profits

Hell yea I put all my savings into charmander. I almost feel so sorry for the dumb faggots that invested in bulbasaur.

>having principles

good luck making money, friend

>you will always be a poorfag

That post basically sums up 90% of Veeky Forums

You'll all be rolling in monies when all the 'normies' inevitably drop the game in a few weeks time.

>He doesn't sell his house and wife to buy as many shares of TRK as possible

I don't think i've ever seen something explode like this has.
How did they do it?
I mean, i don't recall seeing any marketing campaigns or anything, but i find it hard to believe this shit exploded the way it did completely organically.

what goes up fast comes down fast. the game will be completely dead within a month

no marketing campaigns? are you kidding me? every other post on every "social" website is about pokego. you'd have to be kind of dense to think most of that is organic content. this is a game that is targeted towards the netflix and reddit crowd, not people who watch television.

How much for stock?

>those claiming it will be dead in a month, are the same ones that shit on every other money making idea...

buy it

>buying after it went up 25%
>after it went up 12 billion
>when Nintendo earns 1 million a day if you calculate REALLY, REALLY favourably

Market overreacted so hard its not even funny

I've made so much money. Still holding!

i think i'm late from that train

Nah, they had this cool looking trailer that came out a few months back, from there all they had to do was ride the hype.

You should be shorting Nintendo, which had almost nothing to do with Pokémon Go, all they do is collect a licensing fee. In fact the success of Go just proves that it's Nintendo's hardware platforms that are dying not their IP. Can they survive on the IP alone? Maybe: Sega is still around. But unless NX breaks the downtrend they will he a much smaller company within a few years.

Nostalgia + hype. From there it just spreads because it's fun and "cool".

Feels bad

If I hit someone with my car because they were playing Pokemon go, and they admitted it was there fault, can I sue them for damages

The game has no lasting appeal. I would be dumping stocks before the game dies because it's all they have left.

This. It's a fad. It has no gameplay or longterm plan. Anyone that has played it for a couple hours has experienced everything there is to experience in the game.

Short Nintendo if you haven't already

>Are you buying Pokemon stocks?
Bitch, I need that money to buy pokeballs, incense and an egg incubator.

Fuckjn stocks. What do they get you?

how much did it go up today mate?

>thought so....

no. theyre going to have millions of lawsuits filed against them

>Shorting when the whole market go up expecting stimulus from Abe.

Nintendo is shit, just don't touch it.

Can you buy stock from Nintendo in the US?

It gets released in Japan, India and other countries in a few days, I should buy even on a rise r-right guys?

This. If I was a stock holder with Nintendo I would sell. The risk on the investment is to high with the inevitable lawsuits coming there way. Not to mention this is a fad, what comes up must come down. The stock is and will go up with the current media buzz around it but at the same time that's a double edged sword with that publicity they will get shaken by crooks. Also the game is boring and will be dead soon in my opinion.

Considering that this game hits the pay wall really fast and essentially forces you into the cash shop if you don't want to grind your ass off, I don't see it having a lot of longevity past the initial fad.

Yeah, NTDOY

Thank you. I appreciate that.

How?? Pokemon go is a game not a publicly traded company you dumb fuck..

bright lad

Sonic stocks are where it's at

You guys thinking it's a fad got it wrong, IMO.

The game is still at a very early phase. Niantic already announced there will be trading and battling with your friends soon. Real world events also will be a thing soon (Niantic's other ARG, Ingress, has them monthly). There's still A LOT to come, including the more than 500 Pokémon from the new generations.

The game already surpassed several of the most used apps and it's not even released worldwide yet. Remember, people are playing Ingress to this day.

DYDD.

Still hasn't released in Japan, where a major deal with McDonalds will make every store a stop. Price still has long way to go.

NTDOY is not a traditional stock, but a 1/8 slice of the Japan stock. It's a product called an ADR.

But will it be worth the ~$20 billion added to their market cap?

I don't understand the question. Do you want to know if we missed the train?

If that's the case, I don't think so. The best is yet to come, IMO.

Yes.

>biz said not to buy on monday and tuesday because it hit its high
>i bought on monday
>not evne released in japan yet
> i still made hundreds and faggots keep saying no and a it's risen like 25% since the weekend blowup
BTFO

>not mining pokemonbux
You missed Bitcoin at $7
Will you miss this opportunity user?

Short Nintendo soon. Buy mobileverything phone companies since everyone will be going over their data limit for this game.

Lol I wish there was a simple way for me to bet my entire net worth against your claim. This is ridiculous and I hope you remember you said this in 3 months.

>bought on Monday at $27.85
>internet faggots insist that it's done increasing
>I was almost certain that it would keep going up, but I eventually got worn down by the pessimism and sold for no gain
>would have made at least 20% gains if I didn't panic
Not sure if I should buy again, but I need to trust my own instincts and stop listening to the internet. I think it will keep going up from Japanese release, Mcdonalds crossover, trading and battles updates, etc.

>bought 200 shares in January
>selling them tomorrow
>gonna short it as well
Feels fucking good

I'm waiting for the Japan release, after the first week of japan release or I see it go up another 10% I'm out. I doubt it'll go down, I refuse to berieve that

You got 'worn down' over the span of 4 days?
Try the decaf?

When was the last time a mobile game bumped up the price of an established largecap's corporation NINETY percent?

$3000
WOOOOWWWW

Even if I made that I'd just throw $2000 back into more stock instead of celebrating because I already have all the things I want unless I wanna go to some gayass vacation

When was the last time a largecap corporation murdered the mobile gaming market? Mobile gaming is the fastest expanding market that exists today. It already overtook pc gaming a couple years ago. Nintendo took a relatively brand new niche market (location based games) and made it mainstream. If you doubt how much money is in this market, look at mobile game giants King and Supercell. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Mobile gaming is a potential trillion dollar industry. Nintendo will be known as the first to adapt.

Good thing none of those lawsuits will go touch Nintendo since Pokemon Go isnt a Nintendo game m8. They just licensed the IP to Niantic (which is owned by Google)

The thing about free to play mobile games is that they don't need millions of casual players who will never buy anything, so even if 90% of current players stop playing it doesnt matter. What does matter is that the 1-10% of people who actually do pay for stuff (including whales which will drop $1000+) keep playing. See the crazy amounts Candycrush and Clash of Clans make despite being highly repetative.

This. Freemium games are a perfect example of the Pareto principle. The majority of the revenue comes from a small minority of players.

I think there's potential for F2P mobile Animal Crossing to be a HUGE cash cow. Maybe not as popular as Pokemon Go, but that series is addictive as hell and they will get absurd amounts of money if they play their cards right.

What's your guest? I think the stock will hit 35$ by the end of next week. Bought at 27, I'll sell safely at 35.

Not sure, but they've said that they're releasing 5 more mobile games (including Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem) between now and April 2017. They're going to update Pokemon Go with trainer battles, trading, special events, etc, and release the game in more territories. They're probably going to get huge ad revenue from promoting businesses to the player base of tens of millions of people (a Mcdonalds promotion is happening).
The sales of their retail games and other products will also be increased by the publicity of the F2P games and connectivity between the games.

Nintendo or Niantic though?
Nintendo isn't doing that well apart from Pokemon GO, and they only own 1/3 of ThePokemonCompany, who in turn gave rights to Niantic Inc.

What is Breath of the Wild?

>NTDOY is not a traditional stock, but a 1/8 slice of the Japan stock. It's a product called an ADR.

Just to clarify, as I apologize in advance as I'm not entirely sure what this means and I'm sorry to bother you, but does this basically mean I need to buy 8 NTDOY stocks to purchase 1 actual Nintendo stock?

Also what's a reliable website/company/vbroker to purchase stock through? I researched Scottrade, but they seem to have extremely negative reviews and seem unreliable and incompetent for this kind of thing. Thank you in advance.

Bumping free money

How would I do so? And what if they can't pay?

> i still made hundreds

AHAHHAHAH.

HIGH ROLLER RITE

who gives a shit about your tiny little profits. even if you got +3000%, thats still nothing.

>27.85
>35

what?
am I missing something here?
why are you guys talking about the stock price as under $100
it says its $350 today?

This is who you're taking advice from Veeky Forums

Money is money man what's your deal?

ok I think I may be retarded but why does the nintendo stock price come up as 27,780.00 Japanese Yen ($265 usd)
but when I type NTDOY it comes up as 33.38 usd?

I calculated it many times but im clueless

>tfw you missed the Nintendo train
>the stock has doubled in under a month

this, but the /v/irgins will say they plan on providing updates like Trading and Battling other players

It's an ADR stock retard

If your portfolio is that small you should invest in a rope and a stool.

it's the fucking pokemon brand you dumb ass

literally a recipe for success from day 1

You didn't miss anything. Asian markets and Canadian ones still need to open up to the game. When they do, the stock will bump again.

He's right. Buy low, sell high. Low information traders are clawing for Nintendo stock now, I would guess.

Your money is your money, even when all you have is bread crumbs.

Be sure to sell that shit before winter

No one is camping 5 hours in the snow to catch a fucking pokemon

Way too late now, game is out in Europe. It'll only go downhill from here

Not too late. Monday, the stock will go down a bit (major servers issues). But by the end of the week, it will hits the 34$.

had major server issues in US. stock still doubled

What do you think will happen with Nintendo's stock price if they announce soon that they've signed a deal with a major studio to make a Pokemon movie?

You can't time the market. I believe this game will keep getting bigger, especially as phones get faster. I wish you could actually play the game without walking around boring ass places. Maybe this will come.

the game hasn't been release in China or Japan yet you fuckin idiot

it's pokemon

it's not out in Asia yet

pokemon

Asia

pokemon

Asia

money

money

money

money

there have already been pokemon movies dude

I know, I meant to say "live action Pokemon movie". There are rumors that they're close to making a deal with Legendary Pictures.

I want to short but when Veeky Forums?

>the big short

So theyre clearly selling your data to pay for the servers, but who is buying it?

Bought Nintendo for 300 shares @ $30.
feels good as fuck

Why, when I can buy Glu Mobile stock? 1% the market cap of Nintendo.

>mfw i'm one of the faggots who brought Nintendo stock back when the Amiibo's came out
>mfw my broker thought i was crazy

NEVER DOUBT NOSTALGIA

Can someone tell me how to buy nintendoo stocks in australia

I'm up 34% so far

>took the biggest collect-o-thon brand that reaches a demographic with a 20+ year age range
>incorporates the addicting (but niche) mechanics of geo caching to create normie's first geocaching mobile adventure
>adoption rate greater than some of the very top 10 apps

This is not a fad.

No, now is the time to sell if you had previously brought

>nintendo has nothing to do with the app
>buy nintendo stocks

pick1

as if a licensing fee was tied to revenue or something

niantic paid some flat fee and thats it
