Lead the two pot wielding guys to Eygon while he's guarding Irina in her cell. Stand right next to him and let the saw dudes hack away. The damage done by the NPC's doesn't trigger a hostile state for Eygon so you can do this until he dies. He drops his hammer and shield, but more importantly, he will NOT kidnap Irina if you teach her dark miracles. Buy all the dark miracles...BUY NONE OF THE REGULAR MIRACLES. She eventually leaves. She doesn't go to the cell and become a firekeeper, instead she goes to the top of the tower where the firekeeper eyes were and is praying. She then asks you for a favor. Accept. Now, go to the dark firelink and go to the tower. The rubble is gone and you can go up. At the top there is a stone version of Irina holding an item. It's rubbish. You then get invaded by a spirit of vengeance Eygon and he fights you on the top of the tower. If you win you get a cracked blue eye orb but cannot use it. Take the orb to Yorshka. She mends it. Enjoy your Blue Eye Orb.

How to get the mimic hat in a short amount of time without much trouble:

Find any mimic close to a bonfire. For example the one on the second floor above Pontiff, or the double mimics near Yhorm. Buy a lot of undead hunter charms consumables at Firelink. You can bring 5 of them with you each time.
Unequip your weapon/switch to fists.
Now throw a charm at the mimic. It goes to sleep and you can grab its loot after ~2 seconds without it retaliating. Punch it and it goes back to "normal".
Wait a second, then throw your next charm at it to make it go sleep again and check for loot. Punch it again. Do this until you have your Symbol of Avarice or run out of charms, in which case you just run back to the bonfire to grab another 5 from your item box.

You can accelerate this even more if you have high item find. At the very least it's worth it to pop rusted coins, they're very affordable and give you a decent boost.

Why is From so bad at making more things viable?

For example:
1. Why is poison so utterly useless?
2. Why is frost so utterly useless and why is there no frost resin or enchant?
3. Why are scythes, fist weapons and whips so shit?
4a. Why do your weapons, when infused with an element like fire or lightning, not have ANY visual effect? Not saying they should look just like resin'd weapons, but give them SOMETHING. Maybe a slight embery glow to fire, a few sparks here and there to lightning.
4b. Speaking of elemental weapons, why are they so shit? Resins are infinite and cheap and using a refined +10 with a fire resin is always superior to using a +10 fire or chaos weapon, it's stupid.
4c. And on top of this, split damage gets hurt even more by defenses than only doing one damage type. See Dancer's Blades to find out just how bad split damage is.
5a. Why is there no blue eye orb?
5b. Why is there no sinning system so Darkmoons can invade people who have killed innocent npcs like the blacksmith or rosaria's fingers?
5c. Why are Blue Sentinels and Darkmoons literally the same covenant?
