Not much else people can do right now. Those who can actually code are working on the APIs themselves or on cheating/vaguely useless mods. And SMAPI doesn't let you interact completely with the game yet, anyway.

Like the other user said, CA purposefully made it so you don't have to start the game over for any reason, including if you end up regretting doing something (and that's his reason to implement divorces too).
I don't think you're going to find any mods that'll revive your interest in the game considering they're mostly all sprite edits, if you can't continue playing despite your "mess-up" your best bet would probably be to wait until the big content patch is released.
I'm still curious about how you think you messed up, though.

I like the comfy feel and generally how you can take the game at your own pace.
I'm not too far into the game yet since I'm just now on Spring of year 2. But I kinda wish there were more dialogue, and scenes that played out in town aside from heart scenes and such. Chests with more storage capacity would also be nice, and perhaps a compelling reason to plant a variety of crops each season aside from personal preference.

I think he needs to implement some kind of system where supply and demand factors in. So if you sell nothing but Blueberries, then the price of them is going to go down as you flood the market. Other crops might not sell for as much, but having a good variety will ensure that your main crop won't fall off.

More specifically, it'd be nice to have more dialogue, character development, & heart scenes with the Dwarf, the Wizard, and Krobus.
One of the biggest things about SDV is befriending people and stuff, yet very little about the protag's relationship with those guys changes from 0 hearts to 10 hearts. I think that it'd be pretty nifty to get to learn more about the Dwarf's people as well as Krobus' people. It also would be nice to get some scenes with the wizard that shows his friendship with the player without removing much of the mystery that surrounds him.

It would be cool if there was a 'magic' skill that he teaches you as you get more friendly with him. It could allow you to cast a spell once a day, or more as you get closer to the wizard. A spell of transformation, or maybe a spell for making it rain, or even a spell to grow your crops faster.

Yes, you need the fourth, a red one. Just go through the first few levels killing slimes and digging in the soft ground spots where the duggies come out. You should find it that way.

Wish more people would use the public baths. The only options right now are to either sniff Abigail's smelly clothes, have implied sex with Penny in her 10 hearts event or to walk in front of Alex while he's doing lifts, causing confused boners for everyone involved. After 1.1 CA should really work on some more interactivity/random events/maybe even new characters.
