Assuming you mean you'll be doing the invading, it's irrelevant. The area boss has nothing to do with you being able to invade or leave your sign.

If you mean getting invaded yourself, that's correct. Only the archives and kiln will be locked to you if you don't kill Aldrich.

I loved piecing together information about the world from item descriptions and vague NPC dialog in DaS1, but DaS3 almost feels like fanfiction to DaS1 with the way it constantly references the game. Like, I already know how the whole world-fire-cycles works from DaS1, I don't really feel like there's anything else I want / need to learn about the world that DaS3 could provide

First time I did it was with a really upgraded Zweihander. I just waded into the crowd and shredded fools.

I killed them so fast that the orb couldn't reassign and I got stuck in this weird period of not being able to touch the boss.

I enjoyed it immensely because it was a change from desperately trying to roll through a combo and get my one hit in before rolling again.

Sorc doesn't have shit tons of AOE from what I can tell, so this is gonna be a slog.
