People calling Iskander shit should note that he had the unique bonus of only having to spend heroes proofs for the first half of his skills along with skill cookies. Unlike a lot of servants that you'd only level their skills to 4, his can be considered to go up to 6 by default because they're so cheap to level. That's a pretty nice bonus.

Spacial teleportation is one of the applications, not a boost. They can also ignore the sense of pain. But not boost you beyond your normal capabilities. Saber made this clear in Zero.

He literally explained that it gives prana to do X. It doesn't boost you. The way it strengthens is by giving prana. Iskander was strengthened to win against Gilgamesh, but only by getting prana.
