I don't think the High Priest is actually getting hit like that. He floats after all. He's just taking damage from the shots. I think there's one boss on every chamber that's immune to ground damage basically. Bullet King, Beholster, Cannonbalrog and High Priest.

The point wasn't that he is getting hit, it's that you don't need a water weapon to take advantage of the passive. Any gun will work.
what is the best passive and why is it the cog of battle?

Cog is one of my least favorite actually. Don't get me wrong, it's very good. I just don't like using it.

The lich is some serius touhou final boss design with his pattern holy crap.
Make no mistake, Gungeon is a bullet-hell that demands near-perfection. You will not enjoy this game for the same reasons that you would enjoy similar games.

That's a horrible idea, Deck4rd would only fire twice before you had to reload (and then you wouldn't get the hammer to fire). Duct tape the grasschopper to Deck4rd instead.

also it's not unique to the sword, you can do it with any slow-firing weapon

Sword has no reload which makes it top tier for this abuse.
Something of note is when you have the Lead God watch.
It slows time down to about half of what it is when you're changing weapons. By switching over and over you can pretty much fire every magazine of every gun you own in what amounts to a second.
So does Ring of Mimic Friendship and Mimic Tooth Necklace just make all chests free to open?
yeah it's most OP on the gun with infinite clip/no reload
but you can also use it to e.g. instantly dump out a full magazine of sniper rifle or shotgun shots into something.

I was thinking about mapping "Next gun" to p or some shit, then making a "Click p Click p Click p Click p" macro for bosses and shit. Would be fun to shotgun my entire stock of loaded bullets in 2 seconds. Would have to scrap all charge and beam weps though.
