Do cruisers ever get better after the aoba? It feels like they're about the same except enemy BB are more likely to delete you
battlecruiser myoko is one of my favorite boats
Aoba is about the sweetspot of the line. After that it's all sameface, with an increasingly hostile environment for cruisers.
The Myoko is so much better then the Aoba. The two additional turrets and armor make a world of difference. The rest of the line is pretty much the same ship with armor added on (besides the mogami 155 meme). The Zao is equipped with a cloaking field, and the flat shell trajectory lets you rek DDs and CAs (Even BBs at close range).

Any ship can be good if you know how to use her. People use to shit on Atlanta all the time, some still do, but I always top charts and get loads of damage and kills in Atlanta. Just depends how you play, well or like shit.
Literally any ship can do that. Hipper AP is a goddamn meme. I still delete hippers in one salvo in an NO, and I do it in my Atagoy too. I don't have to angle sideways to shoot off more than 4 shells and my HE is always better.

There's entire websites dedicated to tracking these numbers.. The top players in Atlanta are only putting out 53k average. Meanwhile even the top Pensa is putting out 62, and never mind the fucking Myoko with its top player averaging 72k.
Then there's the matter of the overall average for the Atlanta and, as you'd expect, its rock fucking bottom in the tier at 22k, meanwhile Myoko and for some reason Shchors are at 35k and 40k respectively.
tl;dr Atlanta's best day is still a mediocre day for literally any other ship in the tier. It's shit.

The german line has never been anything but mediocre. Ever since radar, even the Dank Meme is pulling in much better performances than it used to. The Hindenburg is now the worst TX cruiser across all servers.

Ibuki actually has better firing range and better concealment than Zao, but the decrease in invisifire buffer is more than made up for by Zao's flamethrower railguns.
Unless Chappy is complete shit, Hipper is pretty damn disappointing.

Nurnberg is more of the same, just with a faster RoF. The downside to the nurnberf is it sits super high in the water so a BB farting in your general direction will blow you out of the water
Yorck is..okay. It's not bad, just mediocre
Hipper is also mediocre
Roon is actually pretty damn good
Hindenburg isn't bad either, it's just not as competitive
If you actually like the ships then continue down the line but be warned it's pretty "meh"

The people spouting the RU cruisers are bad meme are probably the same shitters saying german CAs are good. I'm up to the chappy and asides from the pre-buff svietlana, it's a pretty good line. ABY turret layouts on Kirov and Buddy is a goddamn blessing, and the armor was never really an issue.

Honestly, it's probably because of how incredibly fragile they are, and Kirov was the breaking point. Lots of people (including myself) were incredibly frustrated by Kirov's fuckhuge size, paper armor, nonexistent concealment and abysmal maneuverabiilty (for a cruiser). It's a ship that is literally all gun. And good guns won't do you any good if you can't fire them because you're dead. The ABY turret arrangement feels wasted on a ship that you're going to try to keep at max range all the time.
The Buddy is a nicer experience so far, so I'll withhold judgment on the entire line until I get further in.
