Maxwell's World is all about cursed shit man. You use it you get a worse ending. But that's the easy stuff it throws in your face. at first i had limited supplies tossed about in hard to find areas, but it was just things like stimpaks and basic ammo. I think I might put untainted versions of the weapons around too, but make them hard enough to get that it might as well be a sidequest.
There's a way to uncurse your items anyway.

Man I never tried to break the game and it even landed this little overpowered silenced piece of shit right in my hands in the beginning of some bland questline I don't really remember anything from. Why am I steamrolling everything on the hardest difficulty? Like how the fuck am I supposed to feel invested in this extremely dangerous post-apocalyptic world where nothing can even touch me? I don't know, I found NV to be plenty "immersive". It was comfy in a way Fallout 3 wasn't (though I enjoyed that game as well), and even if I'm enjoying 4 I liked the setting, story, and characters of NV the most of the modern Fallout games.

Fallout's always been a bit soap boxy -- I mean what do you think is the point of having a game start with the line "War, war never changes" and then going into a narration about how people just can't stop fucking eachother over?
