How do I get pygecko scripts to work?
I can get tcpgeko working (it connects, button test works, codes added in normally work) I have python and made sure to clone the pygecko repo and edit in my wii u ip but none of the python scripts ever do anything.

Well, the PSP and PSV versions are the improved versions, they're only localizing the one that has more stuff and is generally better, which makes sense. I like that they're doing it, though I don't think it's really a good choice to do it with a port of a DS->PSV game.
It won't even stop piracy considering you'd probably be able to use the translation in the DS version.

I'm running into a problem when trying to install Oot3dhax on my N3DS 9.2. When I choose Oot in the installer menu both my screens just go white. Any idea on what's going on?

You're most likely missing the "installer" app, even though you have the .xml file to run the OoT installer. Grab a new copy of the starter kit from smealum.github.io/3ds/#prepare and extract only the 3ds folder (leave your current boot.3dsx alone to avoid breaking things).

Alternatively, you're trying to install from Ninjhax 1.x which won't work. Use Ninjhax 2.x.

Yes, Tubehax blocks the CDN servers (they're also used for system updates).

Most likely because you're using tubehax dns on your 3ds.

Is it normal for using ctrtool to get a romFS out of a .cxi to take forever? It's been going for a few hours now and it's not like there's a progress bar or anything.

That's not normal at all unless you're extracting a near-4GB game on a class4 SD card or something. Shouldn't take more than like 2-3 minutes.

Edit the .tga files in the /meta folder for the game.
The files should open in most image editing programs.

Is it possible currently with wii u hacks to make certain game files load from SD? I have a eshop copy of Xenoblade, and just want to inject some music into it. I know I could do the necessary changes to the files and load from loadliine the changed iso, but I'd rather not switch to SD card loading speeds, or go through the hassle of moving my save from my eshop copy to loadliine (if that's even possible).

Also, I looked into it, and for some reason this game has all its music in old dreamcast audio format. It'll be a pain to convert to this, but I'm done listening to some of these themes.

You literally just copy files over. Make sure to format the 32GB card with a big allocation unit size if you want things to load somewhat fast.

You're looking for Cafiine, which can override files to load from your PC over the network instead. Note that you can't use SDCaffine, that's only for Smash (and other games that have SD card permissions).

when i launch luma and go to setting i get sys9.2.0 but no cfw 9.2.0

and when i boot normally i get ver 9.2.0

can i get some help, it says to make sure it says cfw otherwise you're not in rednand but i've retried steps multiple times

So how exactly does DLC work with tickets? I have tickets installed from 3ds.nfshost.com via TikDevil but I'm not exactly sure how the DLC works since it doesn't seem very consistent? For example, I can get DLC downloaded for Awakening and Birthright but I can't get DLC working for Sm4sh.

I'll note that I owned Sm4sh prior to installing A9LH though.

I've added cfw to my 3ds few months back so I've haven't kept up with everything new.

I've been using menuhax to boot into reinand etc.
But at the time reinand didn't allow for region free games since I have games like Gundam I wish to play.

Anyway to patch those games to be region free?

Or is there better firmware out that still uses menuhax?

I don't wish to use this new thing that can risk a hard brick.

running FreeMultiPatcher or NTR after booting into reinand can get you region free
Luma3DS still supports menuhax and does region free out of the box
you can make >cakes region free if you get the right files. it's not 100% ready for public release

Reinand also has regionfree as well
you just need to update the CFW and all good
