The funny thing about CM, that's just so ironic considering it's Capcom, is how self-contained it is.
Yes, it makes sense that they would ram in such an obviously incompatible thing like force metal to explain levels. They're just clumsy like that.
But they didn't leave much room for a sequel. The unpolished nature of force nature as a lore bit means that they'll need even MORE convoluted reasons for levels to make sense in the sequel, and that difficulty will only increase as more games come out.
Only answer is a spin off game with Vile as the protagonist.

..............yes. You are absolutely, gloriously correct. Bounty Hunter Vile. Hyper Mode is a customizable Ride Armor(or a selection of them). He can carry his vast selection of weapons into battle, or stick powered up versions of them onto a Ride Armor.

Unless you can pull some fancy ingame sprite editing, which again takes a bit of experience, it won't work.
Put it another way, the combat would by definition be more complicated than FF VI's trance rules.
Not that it's the MOST complicated, but the ones that I've seen successful dodge the bullet by playing around with numbers and what actives you know rather than changing what the character itself looks like.

Actually the two bots are the same guy, I just don't know which one to pick. Though I think I like the smaller one first. The only name I got for him is Shield Man, but if you have a better idea go ahead. His real usage could be in a police riot squad or something.
Oh right, he got some busters on his arms, but they don't actually hurt. They just stun. In practice they would freeze Mega Man where he stands for a second or two, enough time for Shield Man to bash him.
