Nigga I played semi-professional CS1.6 and CSS (source was garbage), I know about positioning and tracking people. What I'm saying is if you're on Hollywood and you've pushed the vehicle into the western-based set and you're fending off people coming from the three door leading to the inside McCree has plenty of time to leave through a door you don't have eyes on and tag your ass from behind while you're gunning down someone else, or you have your back turned towards a genji behind you.
You will not, for a fact, be able to 100% of the time be able to predict where ever single person is all the time.

i don't even have a problem with snap gameplay, i love CSGO and think that snipers work fine there

but for example, in tf2 you could remove sniper entirely and it would literally make zero difference as the only thing a sniper is better than any class at is killing other snipers

You're not making much of a statement here, explain why snipers are unfitting. Maps rarely have big open spaces and if they do they should be easily visible, allowing friendly snipers and the entire team to shoot back.

Tracer is pretty ridiculous if you're good with her, just fuck...I've gone Torbjorn to shut her down several times but at least you can do that to some degree.

Snipers fill a niche. Long range, LoS, burst. There is nothing wrong with a Sniper in OW because there like 4 different characters that counter her. Widowmaker doesn't hurt balance from a design standpoint. Saying she does is just coming from a place of frustration.

Widowmaker is a hard counter to someone like Pharah. She presents a real danger to characters like Zenyatta and Mercy. She is conducive to varied play and strategy, not adverse to it.

Widowmaker forces the enemy team to change their playstyle to something that feels uninteractive and boring, it's just never fun playing with a widowmaker, the game would still be perfectly balanced without her, in fact flanking characters such as Tracer and Genji would actually be better if Widowmaker didn't exist.

Having snipers is not a bad thing. Widowmaker herself could stand changes but there's nothing wrong with snipers as a whole, and I say that as someone that hates the shit and have no understanding whatsoever about why people find it enjoyable. You didn't even give an actual reason as to why sniping is bad in the first place, so I'm not really required to dignify you with a response when your complaint boils down to "I don't like it".
