If you have high enough luck, like 40, then yes. But not by a large amount compared to a 40/40 refined dark sword. Anri's sword strong attack is much better though, the stab has got some range on it.

The FUGS looks ugly as sin, which is legitimately the only reason I've never used it. I have a lot of fun with the Profaned Greatsword and the Cathedral Knight Greatsword, and while they may not be better they don't look ugly

Probably not. I don't think Anri's breaks 500 AR, and the Dark Sword can crest that with sufficiently high stat investment.

Anri's is just more efficient at lower levels since it matches a 40/40 refined dark sword with only a 35 point investment and a hollow offhand. It tragically caps off lower than the dark sword due to its D/D/D scaling and lucks relatively lower and harsher softcap compared to str/dex.

Luck in general has very poor scalability. Avoid it beyond sl80, and even that is pushing it.

Supposedly, the Winged Knight set should give me 32.0 total absorption, but with the stats in pic related, I have 95 defense and 28.573 total absorption. Does armor absorption scale somehow?

That has nothing to do with what its AR looks like with 40/40/40. They use Anri's because it's insanely efficient at lower levels and with minimal stat investment.

they only use anris over dark sword because you get it early and without farming, both hit 400 ar with one dedicated stat

I tried it once. I lost pretty hard. I think I only beat one person. Ended up getting one shot in my next fight by Hornet parry.

I'm sl 100 so my 27 vigor is getting me 2 shotted on lot on bosses and I'm forced to hard learning their movesets. Only certain bosses though some are as easy as always like dragonslayer. Cinder and nameless are easy since they give you breathing room. Hyper aggressive bossfags gave me the most trouble like lothric since my patience kept wearing thin with the revives and I started greeding.

I had to learn to parry champ 100% since I wasn't dealing with his bullshit past ng +3

But it's alright not too shabby if you use weaknesses, bugs and stoneplates depending on the boss. Shouldn't summon on bosses since randoms die in one-two hits and panic. Even the greatwood tree cleaned up quickly

does das3 pvp feel ridiculously shallow to anyone else?

i've tried a gorillion different builds and faced just the same as opponents, there's never really any feel of true variety despite the weapon pool and choices being pretty vast

a lot of weapons suffer from rock-paper-scissors in terms of countering or being straight up hardcountered; the two-hit rule on top of disabled poise really doesn't help either

Running R2s are jump attacks and therefore unparryable. You'll take bonus damage if he hits you during though.

I find lloyds shield and sword ring to be the best PvE rings. Especially when paired with the estus ring steel protection rings.

It basically means that you can take 15+ hits. Every hit you take will hurt but will be healable with one estus flask. You'll also do 10% more damage.

Can't imagine a better PvE setup than that.
