I don't get it. I loved Ciel, but this is literally embarrassing to play. The first goddamn mind delve session with the TSUN and DERE shit made me cringe harder than I have in a good long while. Battle gameplay is ass so far also. It's like some dumbass looked at Xenogears and Valkyrie Profile and tried their best to make them shit.

does the battle system ever get a bit more complex? admittedly story-wise I'm just kind of salty over how invested I got in Ciel only to be a bit blindsided by the typical idiot MC and his childhood flame setup. I thought some of the silliness was funny, that whole scene was just a bit much.

Cass's first level of genometrics is pretty comedic but her final level is heartbreaking for Delta and a tearjerker.

Don't bother with U-mats. You don't really need to upgrade weapons that much. Just do it on Rean if you want.

The added effects are nice but they're too fucking tedious to grind in most chapters, some chapters have easier to find enemies that drop them but in other chapters they're only dropped by tough enemies that you get at most 1 per fight.

The battle system becomes slightly more complex because you get more attacks that fill out different roles, but you don't really need to think which attacks to use unless you play on hard or higher. You'll eventually grow attached to Delta and Cass and Ion will come back eventually to the story.

When I was running back up to the Star Singer's Platform as Delta I fell through the ground and seemingly off world. Had to run up against a wall slowly rising up until I was back above the platforms walking on something invisible then fell down to the door.

I got the plat in PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate completely naturally.
I really enjoyed the game and it was an honest surprise when the plat popped.
I never had to grind, or do any menial tasks to get it, I just got it because I loved exploring everything the game had to offer.

Its a pretty great game, load times are a little more noticeable on vita as opposed to PC or PS4 but it plays wonderfully for the most part. There is this one fight near the end that has some framedrops though.

Its a fantastic game that you should play which ever platform you decide to use.
