How do you guys determine how many missiles to shoot at an enemy and when to shoot them? I've found myself Winchester once or twice on blue flag after getting two or three kills. I'm talking about the 29 ofc.

There really isn't any SOP, however you can expect at least two. One somewhat low Pk and the other for the reengage.
Falcon BMS comes with an excellent guide on when to chuck amraams.

The M2K radar crash was fixed forever ago and judging from the patch notes it *might* have also had its other radar locking issues fixed.

I'm gonna learn Harpoons. One of the Balkans campaigns has a carrier right off the coast of Italy. Immedialy gives you multiple TASMO and escort missions.
I'm gonna try to host Hornet ops. Now that my bandwith setting is right, all of the issues went away. AA is the same as the Viper except 10 AMRAAMs.
The carrier also look better than the Kuznetsov in DCS lmao

So with aircraft like F-16s and the A-10c, data such as what is used for navigation and weapons are loaded into a DTC or data transfer cartridge, which is then inserted into it's respective slot inside the cockpit. This is not replicated in BMS or DCS A-10C so I was curious of what they looked like and a bit about them.
The first picture I grabbed off of some site written entirely in moonrunes. That is what the DTC looks like, the smaller unit is inserted into the larger, and then the combined unit is inserted into a slot in the cockpit. This was the best picture I could find of the F-16s DTC
The pic on the bottom is out of a Tornado, you can see pretty well what in general a DTC looks like.
This late 70s-early 80s technology holds only a couple of mbs and uses contacts as seem on the bottom pic.
It's basically a tactical NES cartridge

DCS also has realism issues with its DSMS page where you can change laser codes on GBU-10/12's and setup HOF for CBUs. IRL this cannot be done mid flight and can only be done by the ground crew.
There is a ton of features still missing/broken in DCS but instead of fixing and improving whats already in game we are getting more trainers and worthless helos.
