>be xenophobe
>modify some of my own species to remove a negative trait
>get alien overlord happiness modifier

These three systems just randomly switched control.

>barely 3-4 years into my game
>already get transmission from aliens that have deciphered my language

So how many AI empires should i be allowing in my game? Playing on the large galaxy. Really don't like discovering people that early, kind of shits on the immersion. I have 14 AI empires and 2 advanced ones or whatever.

2nd for corvette spam is op

See It would be pretty easy to do so. I may even do that stuff later, maybe, possibly. If there is interest.

Is it worth it to just build a shiton of destroyers to improve my military power (since it's only like 2k and the AI has fleets with 30k+ power, wtf?) or should I just wait until I luckily get Cruiser ships one day and mass produce those.
I wish there was an actual tech tree instead of this shuffle crap so I could prioritize what I need.

Is there any way to turn off the highlights for sectors? I hate seeing the blinding white borders in my space all the time.

DLC

Could have built a frontier outpost there maybe.

Use a mix of ships, you're only shooting yourself in the foot otherwise.

No, there are no map modes currently.

When you guys made your human empire did you also changed the races racial perks as well?

there is no reason not to just spam corvetts

There is something of a tree and really most of the time the shuffle is only 3 out of 6 of your available options anyways. It's only really bad when you get all repeatable research as your choices.

I'm pretty sure it's rigged so that ai always start near you. Even when I've halved the started ai I was surrounded by a ai on my left and right just outside of wormhole range.

4 corvettes to a destroyer and so on for higher tiers.

There is a tech tree. It's only pseudo-random.
Search for it on leddit.

He settled on mothellum, but those 3 planets are still closer to my inhabited planets and outpost.

Alright, so I'll just work on building more corvettes in the meantime. (I've only been building destroyers since I've researched them.)
Thanks for the tips. Didn't know fleet balancing was important.

Armor + torpedoes versus the AI. Prove me wrong.

Is there anything i can do to fix this?

It's not just a numbers game. Ships fire individually and are targeted.

Fallem Empires with Particle Lances says hi.

FFFUUUUCK
I NEVER WANTED PORN MOD SO BAD

Guys, is there a 'best choice' for your starting weapon type?

Lasers

>Four centuries to integrate a conquered empire

I'm guessing they now count as a seperate species, so no.

That said I've done it several times and I haven't gotten that debuff, only xenos do, since that modified species still count as a original.

Why's that?

Is Stelaris worth it?

Can you genocide populations and colonise half the Galaxy or is it even more cheesy than EU4?

I managed to get my navy back, but these guys have asspulled more corvettes than me with only 1 world, do I just restart?

>fallen empires
Durrr. Matter disintegrators say hi.

Is betharian meme stone worth going war over?

>see planet with primitives
>perfectly compatible for my species
>send colony ship to system
>no option to colonize
Why?

Also if you make it so a slave species can't procreate, will they eventually all die out in the game??

>needing a reason for war
I bet you don't even purge. Pussy.

should I buy Stellaris? Is it fun and noobfriendly for babbiesfirststrategy gaem?

Is a slightly better power plant worth going to war over? I don't know, do you need it?

Not as much as weed gas

So I researched the PSY warrior tech, but now I can't find how I make PSY armies?

That's what I kinda wanted to know. I could see it if they were much better than regular plants but apparently not.

Its only used for power plants. If you're running an energy deficit, then maybe? The pitharan dust, neutronium ore and garanthium ore are far more worth to war for.

Anyone?

stopping them from procreating just means they won't make more pops so if there were 4 pops there will always be 4 pops.

Send landing Armies to the planet to hostile take over I'm 99% sure the natives get to live.

Sure. I don't see anything hard about it. If you have trouble you'll be able to read a guide or something, I'm sure.

There's a difference between psy armies and psy warriors. Psy warriors are just an army attachement, you put them on top of another army.

They are researched under physics instead of engineering

Corvettes with evasion software and good engines are unhitable by huge grade weapons, larger ships can't dodge so put targeting computers on them instead for bonus to hit+damage. Anything destroyer and above should carry 1 point defense system in case of an enemy using missiles.

Put your missile ships in a separate fleet and give them at least tier 2 evasion software.

They output exactly double the amount of a regular power plant.

...

It's like 5 more than normal one. It gets crazy when you have one planet with that energy bonus on it and like 5 meme power plants.

These fuckers took the same color as me, so Im surrounding them, then going to eat them. Still have a 20 year peace treaty going so they cant do anything about it.

Why is it that because I have individualism I cant enslave aliens despite having xenophobia? Makes no sense I love my people but hate xenos whats so hard about that?

>he fell for the meme drivers meme

anglo confederacy or european confederacy lads?

Anyone?

>terror bombing
Are dindus fucking up my planets or some shit? How do I stop it?

>playing boring white people in space
get outside your comfort zone man

Generic slavers? You may as well take the slaving trait instead of slow breeders.

I don't really like slaving that much though. Doesn't feel that good. It's not nearly as comfy as spamming droids.

Is the black hole better one?

Sounds like a viable way of centralizing the energy production, but I don't have the resources or the planet with a modifier yet. I still have the tech, though.

>Corvettes with evasion software and good engines are unhitable by huge grade weapons
Completely false.
Tachyon lance fucks them
Even Kinetic Artillery fucks them rarely missing and it has 70% accuracy.

Also the accuracy penalty between small and large weapons is next to negligible. The largest penalty is 9% and the Large only weapons already have good accuracy.

Also wasting a large or medium weapon slot on point defense is silly. Just use corvettes equipped with PD and defensive software so they stay in formation near your long rage battleships and cruisers.

Isn't Engineering the better research type because it unlocks new ships?

>european
>white
Choose one and only one.

I want a slug alien to eat me out!!!

I think that's his point. They don't compete for the same research slot, so you can get both easier.

For the modifier I meant that special building that's like +10% or more energy output from planet. Honestly there's no reason to make balanced planets. Especially later if you can upgrade your energy planet to energy capital you can get really crazy amount of power. Oh, and don't forget the planetary edict.

good point tbf

well

what do I pick

Oh, I follow!

Thanks.

>Charismatic leader trait has Donnie's haircut

Is Paradox secretly redpilled deep down inside?

>these fuckers have 2 ring worlds
>thought they only had 2 planets so ignored demands
>wanted me to destroy 3 colonies
They can go fuck themselves, Im gearing up for war.

Projective weapons are objectively the best.

>snow fox race
cute!

Projectile if you like fun
Energy if you like lasers and memes
Missile if you like to bully autistic ai

>meanwhile, there is a discussion about exactly this
Read the damn thread

Probably energy weapons.

>2 ring worlds
I'm guessing they are a fallen empire. Unless you are in the late game, better lube up fuckboi.

as the fuck if

it's more of a question of what would fit space foxes better desu

Is there a map editor?

you need to change your native interference policy

I told a Fallen Empire, a "stagnant ascendancy" one, to fuck itself.

About 10 minutes later they had a fleet appear in my home system and shrekt my defense fleet.

>mfw

space melee weapons

Are there any meme references hidden in Stellaris?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE G.I. JOE?

yes

Is it even fun to play as a fanatic pacifict, how are you supposed to win the game if you can't go to war or capture planets.

Just outbreed them all. Take them over by sheer force of numbers.

I don't like any of the starting weapons. I always go for torpedoes or plasma cannons instead.

I haven't actually tried any of the early game neutral reverse-engineered weapons, like crystal throwers and void lightning. Any opinions on what they're like?

wehrmacht general uniform v.0002alphabeta

>Projective weapons are objectively the best.
err, no

you fixed the neck now it's 10/10

I personally for balanced planets unless if it has beneficial modifiers like +% minerals or tech. It's probably not the smartest thing to do, but when I give up the control to a sector the AI doesn't go haywire with them and demolish all the shit I've built.

The amoebas you can reverse engineer are pretty good for strike craft.

True.
Paradox is planning to give them a buff though.

>Despotic Hegemony

>go to look at their shit
>100k power fleets
>fucking dead

UMMM

how does a pirate edit the sector cap without game crashing errytime?

Does the AI actually adapt their weapons and defensive modules in response to what their enemy uses?

is there any way i can change my ethos mid game? like with the console or editing my save, not with some tech

>no ship ramming
Why even live?

Honestly just making myself one 20 energy planet and keeping it in my cores is pretty much 50% of my empires income of energy. It really doesn't help that the sectors only just give you 75% income when you try to keep a 1000 capacity fleet running.

I think they noticed pretty quickly that they forgot to put the shield penetration bonus on them.

Is there anyway to add a version with the hat?
