i always thought the idea behind the minutemen missions was they couldnt cover everywhere in the commonwealth at the same time, so they radio you to hit the points they cant reach in time. they obviously wander the commonwealth so they do shit somewhere, as apparent during the institute quest where you retrieve that dude from his house.

putting nearly 400 hours into fallout 4 has made me really appreciate New Vegas alot more. I hate myself for getting so excited for Fallout 4, even bought the Pipboy edition like a chump. At least it'll make a good halloween costume. I wish New Vegas was not on such a shit engine, and that Obsidian didn't rely so heavily on exposition. But when I imagine the scope of just New Vegas they could have made with the Creation Engine or a new game it makes me sad Obsidian won't be making another Fallout. It's painful now to go back and play New Vegas cause the engine is so clunky.

342 hours into F4 here, literally all I do is build settlements. I haven't even finished the main questline, I'm just not interested in it. Still, settlement building is better than just meandering about a desert with nothing to do. Might just reinstall NV later and mod the ever living hell out of it. was there ever any good DLC sized mods made? I remember that dumbshit mess that was Beyond Boulder Dome and that one worldspace that was basically LOLWEED, but that's about it.

I put a lot of lamps in the castle settlement but somehow its still dark as fuck during the night.
Noticed that the light sources in general in the game area extremely weak.

I've read that disabling texture streaming might help my performance but I cant exactly find out to do it, does anyone know how?
