It was probably the autist. Announcing our plan to make a new thread with a specific image to counteract his spam, and then giving him plenty of time to make hastily make a new thread was not a clever move.

Your ranked rank should be a better indication of your skill than your level. Gear also doesn't matter that much. Your opponents putting in the time to get to rank 50 is really the only thing they have over you (If they are level 50 B rank, that means they are probably not that good). You should just tough it out since C ranked games will be so easy it would be boring even if you are only dropping from B.

let's say you've hurt your hand somehow, but you want to play splatoon. are there any weapons that aren't as taxing to use as the others? i'd assume a roller or anything that isn't a nozzlenose/blaster, but i figured i should ask anyway

On another note: if we can pick out a few users to allow to post "official" threads, I can put together a check that only allows the redirector to point at those users' threads (based on a TOTP in the description, generated using e.g. Google Authenticator). I'm not sure we're still having problems with the redirector pointing at fake threads, though; the bad-thread detection heuristic I already have seems to be working pretty well.

Either way, this all seems like it should be unnecessary. Are the mods just failing to handle this, or is the guy actually making himself difficult to ban?

I usually use it in splat zones, and it's excellent for capping a zone in one volley. Quite difficult to play aggressive with it though.

Do disruptors register inconsistently or am I just bad at using them? I feel like even when I have people in a choke point where it would seemingly be a sure hit they often still go through it unaffected. Does being in squid form make you immune to them?
