I think my favorite part of the 1.3 update was NPCs interacting with each other and the environment.

I know it seems small but when I see the Merchant talking about how much he loves gold or see the Guide and Dryad playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, I can't help but feel cozy. Helps my villages feel more alive.

Let's say I make a hobbit hole next to my house and put stairs before the entrance (it's for the dryad, of course she'd hate being in an actual house). Would said stairs redirect zombies to the house's entrances, or can they drop down and rape her?

Do you want her to go outside of the house to mingle during the day? If not, why not just put a trap door on the entrance? Or am I understanding this layout wrong.

I want her house to be outside of mine, and to be kinda underground. Maybe a garden later but I don't know how to make a surface garden that is protected from zombies.
Something else to take into consideration is that I want the house to have a flat first floor so I can just sit in the middle and shoot everything on both sides when bloodmoons arrive.

I have no idea if zombies learned to open doors to the outside direction in the newer updates, but a simple zombieproof door will just have a block or a platform or even an actuated block put behind it so it can't be opened from the outside to the inside, but only from the inside to the outside.

Pretty sure they'll just go in all directions on the stairs.

Easier boss + better expert mode accessory + actually useful past WoF accessory (star band required for celestial cuffs) + easier to navigate + nostalgia
Especially with how quickly you can run through normal mode these days, the difference in power between the corruption and crimson items matters a lot less than it used to.
Also it's almost impossible to break into and set up those crimson rooms for bossing, especially in multiplayer, whereas you only need a grappling hook and you're set for the whole run of corruption.

Yeah, I prefer to make fancy looking quarantines around areas I want to keep crimson/corruption/hallow in and clean everything outside of that with the replace-all plugin, though.
