Plus the lend lease act was the core reason why they were able to mount an assault against Germany in Stalingrad, which was quickly halted with Kharkov. Either way the user isn't wrong

How was Germany losing because of America? Stalingrad and Moscow were won without any significant american deliveries.

And occupying a lot of land doesn't mean you're winning. The Germans literally did not have plans to fight a war longer than 10 weeks. The Germans knew they couldn't fight a war in Russia that involved counteroffensives and the front stabilizing.

You can occupy vast swaths of territory. The Japanese covered over 2,000 miles in their advance. They still had lost the war at Midway (which wasn't even a counter offensive), and arguably at Pearl Harbor.

That's dead wrong also, read Lost Victories by Manstein, Manstein's main plan was to retreat spread the Soviet's forces out then mass German troops in mass and strike deep with panzer division into pockets, then surround and mop them up. Hitler refused because he didn't want to give the impression of a weak Germany, which goes back to why I dislike him.

It really would have been an easy German war in Britain and Russia. Hell Von Bock and Guderian would have taken Moscow in September or October had they not swung south to Kiev.

Now, remember that if you don't swing south the Kiev, You are way, way further extended then they were during the Caucasus campaign.

You are trying to fight, for months, with limited supplies, and ALSO defend every single point on a 1,000 mile front, with the bulk of the your enemy forces still standing.

Virtually every modern historian holds that the turn on Kiev was the right maneuver and none of them would believe a fall of Moscow by September.
