Becuase those seperate weapons in NV existed to fulfill various different niches in the weapon system,because its modding capabilities were so small.

With Fallout 4's far larger and more expansive modding system you need far less base weapons to chive the same number of total effects because you have more mods that do different things.

Its 5 guns that do 3 things vs 3 guns that do 5 thing

because Bethesda thought everyone liked the weapon modding system, so they decided to go all in on it.

yes, but at what cost? in an RPG you should have a good selection of weapons to use. I mean fuck, DayZ isn't even a RPG and yet it has a gorillion guns that are essentially the same that solely exist for variation in the loot tables.

how do I fix this glitch where there is nothing rendered and the game has me stop and wait for the textures to load while the loading icon plays? it comes up like 3-4 times every 5 minutes if i'm going from place to place.

Well the locations don't exactly have names. But they do spawn in these specific areas.

I'm pretty sure when Bethesda was designing the guns they were just like "fuck it, the modders will fix it".

A good RPG should provide enough weapons/ways to use those weapons to fulfill the various niches needed i nthe gameplay system.

be that take the form of a lot of unmoddable base weapons, or a few highly moddable base weapons, is beyond the fact.

A good RPG should not just have weapons for the sake of having more weapons, because when a game does that, the various stats of those guns often blend together, making your weapon choice increasingly less meaningful and unique.

Apparently on the quest to get Liberty Prime's bombs you can tell Brother Henri in the Sentinel Site that you're from the Nucleus and he becomes friendly and lets you go into the stockpile without fighting.

So too does having so few weapon types make your choice feel less unique. When you find another copy of your weapon every 5 minutes.
