At first I thought it was because France has less population density(pops are mostly in some provinces and the rest of the country is empty). But that happens in USA too and they can industrialize just fine. Am I doing something wrong? I just can't catch up

What an interesting development, however, from this picture alone I can't tell if that's THE flag the Taiping used to identify themselves. I'll try to find the talk page discussion about it but I always get confused with Wikipedia.

The Golden Dragon was the symbol of the Emperor, and that applies to the Qing emperors as well. However the Qing used an Azure Dragon in their flag. Thus, the emperor's clothing isn't proof enough that the Taiping used a golden dragon flag.

I built 6 motorized units which i used to rush North Africa, and some submarines with torpedoes. That's it, i didn't have enough IC to build troops and upgrade at the same time, and I'd rather not have 1922 infantry fighting.

I lost my airforce within 3 weeks of the war starting. I based them in alexandria, which was taken by Britain.

forgot to mention I also built one marine and 3 transports i believe. That one marine took Malta, Crete, and retook Corsica from Britain.
